As much as I wanted this to happen, I can't help but feel that this is too good to be true. I know Rena has had feelings for him, but confessing after that mental torture makes it look like she is unstable and just desperate to find someone to cling to right now.

I can be wrong,I mean it's really a long time that i not read Chrono crusade (that is the other work from this author). But i remember that something like this happen there as well. I mean a confession in a really bad moment. Although i can be wrong and not recall right. I'm curios to see what will happne ,but i honestly hope that this end in a good way. (i mean the whole confession here not the rest).

Yeah, I agree. It was like kinda abrupt and feels like that Riku might reject her though I don't know why I'm having this feeling.

How far is the manga in i read chapter 78 and did it go on hiatus for a while? Man love the series just hope it doesnt end a tragedy ending where Rena dies man the author loves to torture us.

They're interupted by the noise of some fightings between Jinki users and then Rena realized something (IMO she assumed she gave Riku more burden, because at the first page of the chapter Rena screamed for help in her mind...) thus she ended up lying to Riku that she likes him as a "partner" or "family". After that she ran away and left behind a letter that explains things, including her confessing once more to Riku that she actually love him not as a partner, not as a family,and not as a friend.
