Perhaps, it's just that the heavy shipping discussions has generated a false impression on me. |

Gosick... I don't understand, are you arguing for or against "novel that don't have a few girls revolving around the protagonist" ?

that the general audience prefers "harems" for their main characters? :S (perhaps its just, wanting something for someone that you yourself dont have :S)

Basically anything with more girls, or rather, more concentration of girls equals more chance of success. Most of the time, the protagonists doesn't really factor unless he's that awesome, or she's that gay.

usually the high amount of females is to attract a viewer attention with a character that fit its tastes, some authors have already stated that this is a common request editors make, theres an anime that referst to this as the galge tactic,i dont remember wich one, and is sometimes quite obvious when a character/s(usually the ones that arent there from the beginning) have little to no importance to the plot or even the other characters.

Anyone here watching the anime? The anime took a different route right? AFAIK, in LN, they weren't evicted but they choose to go back to Yuri's house because of various situation like for the girls having a hard time commuting? Did I get it right?

Iirc in one of the spin off mangas there is a brief interlude of Yuuta clashing with the landlady - a young woman who has just recently taken over the job from her parents....
But having only read Vol 1 of the LN I can't speak as regards those, unfortunately.

I don't recall there ever being a landlady in the LN. Seems like the anime is going its own way. Well, I don't mind so long as the family theme remains the same. And I get to see more of the girls.

Hopefully the anime won't change things to drastically though.

^ They already did in episode 7. Looks like even Micchi doesn't recall if there was a landlord introduced.
So we might be seeing them going to Yuri's house in next or 2 episodes since they don't have a choice and it will be good for the girls. |

Oh yeah, I don't care what side is right. Jut stating my opinions and some facts. I haven't catched up to the latest ep yet. Though the girls and Yuuta did go sleep in their parents' house.
