What does everybody think the odds are that Keima saw right through Diana's plan and set this up as an opportunity to shirk any romantic responsibility toward either Hakua or Tenri/Diana, and make both relationships more strictly professional? I mean, there's no better way to lower the affection rating for a girl than showing up to a date with another girl...

I still think he's a little sweet on Tenri herself, though. This chapter he showed some compassion for the situation Diana puts her in (which is not too dissimilar to his own).

That's the thing. You never really can tell exactly how smart Keima is, and how much he sees through things, because the games just hide it so well.

Keima's thoughts on page 15 seem to indicate no, but I guess there's still room for interpretation either way...

Like I predicted, chapter 106 was used for some plot advancement.

Spoiler:

- Keima will reach the ending all at once by finding the goddesses
- Mio and Kusunoki are ruled out indefinitely
- if the girl had a goddess, than the goddess would know Keima is related with Hell
- there are only two actions for goddess: 1) Come in contact with Keima for information or 2) like Diana, be on guard and do nothing.
- he'll use the Maijima School Festival coming up in two days to investigate all his previous capture targets
- Keima asks Diana and Hakua to come to the festival as well.

Edit: lol I read it wrong, it appears the school festival lasts for two days.

Actually, he said those first two lines in the bottom right panel (which I'm sure is what you're referring to) out loud, possibly for the benefit of Hakua (not that she was listening at that point)... You can tell it's a double speech bubble in the raw by the little talk stalk it has (overzealous black levelling, much?), but also because they tend to "cloud up" the thought bubbles, and this one is as normally rounded as your average speech bubble.

I is disappoint, Keima needs to go on a real data with Hakua. Still fake date is better than no date, but from the hints established, it's probably going to take quite a bit before Keima breaks out of the no 3d girls phase, it will probably be after when Sensei is revealed as a devil, from my guess.

My prediction is that none of the girls end up having a goddess but as he leaves the dance completely depressed and disappointed because he thought he could easily "end the game" he passes some new girl that was watching him. Of course the new girl will end up having a goddess instead.

Because the goddesses (the Sisters of Jupiter) were the one who sealed the Old Hell, and they can do it again if they are reassembled (according to Diana), and Keima's contract will end since there is no runaway spirit left to capture.

Of course, we all know it won't be this easy...
