I agree largely with you Kaioshin, except on this part

As for Sawano work on Guilty Crown, I think that those who had been misinformed had credit the OST work to Supercell. Not that it would hurt Sawano in any way, since I don't think he's that unknown to be heavily affected by people mis-crediting him (as a side note, I honestly think that both Supercell had done a lot of good work on the music on both fronts, vocally and BGM, and even at the character designs being some of the best in TV anime I had seen in a while) But yeah, I actually agree with. As for this show, I just expect it to look rather amazing with great music to boot. Yeah, let's look forward to that shall we. Yep, just that ...

I agree with you Arabesque (also that Kanno and Kajiura totally deserve the tons of praise they get), I don't think people were intentionally not giving Hiroyuki Sawano credit for Guilty Crown's music, personally I think it was more how the info on who was responsible for the music came out since there was so much pushing of Supercell (that I don't recall even learning that Sawano was involved until the first ep hit and then ofcourse when I watched the ep there were a few tracks that immediately made me think of GU and BE), as he's gotten a lot of praise for his amazing soundtracks for Gundam Unicorn and Blue Exorcist recently.
There were a ton of posts around the web about his amazing Gundam Unicorn music right after the first ep came out for example that I remember reading. Quote:
Damn I can't wait for this, Lupin with Sayo Yamamoto and Takeshi Koike doing not only character design but animation direction, freaking sweet. Last edited by DangerMouse; 2012-03-17 at 15:59. |

Lupin III isn't normally the sort of story that's heavy on continuity. All you really need to know is that Lupin, his girlfriend and two buds are master criminals who travel the world pulling off improbably heists, and Zenigata is the cop who's always one step behind them.

You can add another big name: Shinichiro Watanabe is producing the music.
I watched the raw since I wasn't sure how long I'd have to wait for subs. My only experience with Lupin III was the Miyasaki version, definatly had less Fujiko fanservice and nothing like this (that's from the OP animation if anyone's wondering) Really looks like a Yamamoto anime. Some trippy visuals in the opener (though not sure if that's the OP animation we'll see every week or just a one time thing) Got the basics of what was going on,seems like fujiko and Lupin were competing for the same thing. Not sure I'm always a fan of the shading I'll wait for subs before further comments.
