Voice Actor Appreciation Thread [Anime]

Welcome to the new Voice Actor appreciation thread. While a poll is the center of this thread, new discussion of recent or emerging characters is more than welcome. So, please comment on your favourite Naruto/Shippuden voice actor, their roll(s), and their best episode(s) (if you can remember ). Please do not unnecessarily bash voice actors (for example, my endless hatred for Nana Mizuki is not allowed (j/k)), but constructive criticism is always welcome.

Additionally, please try and describe why you like a certain actor.

edit1: The current list of actors in the poll is esoteric for a reason (and I just realized there are no actresses in the list...sorry). They represent some of the crème de la crème of the sheer variety of different rolls and approaches to acting. While, undoubtedly, most will vote for Other (and if it gets too overbalanced we will probably have to alter the poll some...), this list is not supposed to represent the Main Cast, but rather some of the more impressive actors "seen" so far...

edit2: Technically Konohamaru was played by 2 actors: Ikue Ohtani and Akiko Koike...and I am a little unsure who the main Shippuden actor is, so I just went with Akiko Koike . If I am wrong, please tell me, and I will see what I can do to fix the poll...

Kujira!! Orochimaru has the best voice in the series, hearing him say "Sarutobi-sensei" made his fight with the 3rd awesome. I would have liked to see Sasori's voice actor on the poll as well, but I guess thats what the 'other' option is there for.

With Hidan at a close second. That funny laugh of his gets me every time. Masaki Terasoma was really into the scenes lol

Kujira! Easy choice. Nothing beats this distinctive timbre. Kujira makes Orochimaru into hissing coolness incarnated and is the reason why I'd never, ever, for no reason imaginable would consider watching Naruto in a language other than Japanese.

A lot of my favorite seiyuus are present in Naruto but my second choice for a stellar performance is Masaki Terasoma for the perfectly performed slightly and not so slightly mad undertones of Hidan that made me watch this part of the series for umpteenth times just to listen to his banter with Kakuzu.

No question there, Orochimaru´s voice is the greatest.

But still there´s another really good one, which I miss in the list:

I think you should also include Romi Paku aka Temari in Naruto series. But also Hitsugaya in Bleach and Edward in FMA. She does really good work with them.

Romi Paku(Temari) is awesome, although I love her more as Ed and Toshiro. Here she is hanging out with the equally awesome Showtaro Morikubo(Shikamaru) in a subbed conversation. Showtaro has a great singing voice and is easily the best looking voice actor in Naruto in my opinion. He's really hot. If you close your eyes it sounds just like Temari and Shikamaru acting like a married couple.

Here is a duet they did together for a love song called Voice For You. Seiyu are very aware that their characters are sometimes paired by fans. Nothing wrong with cashing in on that.

Atsuko Tanaka(Konan) is a pretty good voice . I love her work in most anime's and although her role is rather minor so far her voice is very enchanting. She was the voice of Caster in Fate/Stay Night too.

Romi Paku (Temari) is one of my favourite in this series. She has a very dominating voice in this series.

Kujira (Orochimaru) also another favourite. Perfect evil voice.

And the last one that I like is Takako Honda(Anko) no particular reason. It just stands out to me and I seem to long strong domineering voices when watching anime.

I'm gonna choose Kujira .. just to know that orochimaru's voice played by a woman make me WoWing .. i like her and i like her voice .. she is incredible.

my second choice is to someone not in the list .. Zetsu (especially his black side).

i like also Jiraya's voice ...... Jiraya Sama

Mine has to be Ohtsuka Kujira and Ikkuko . Though Ohtsuka is not for portrayal of Jiraiya, in terms of Naruto love Kujira . She made my most fave cross dressing transvestite sound even more devilish . That voice oozes with sexiness there is something Joygasmic about the way she makes Oro sound . The way she has combines playfulness along with pure evil is awesome for Orochimaru . her naturally coarse or whale like voice gave more depth and dimension to Oro's character . When I hear Naruto the first sound that comes to my mind is Oro appearing/talking in Forest of Death Loved her as Otose (Gintama) also and this is real Kujira & Ohtsuka .

I always loved Kisame's voice. The cold and degrading way he talks is awesome. Also, I like Naruto's voice after the timeskip. In the beginning of Naruto it was high and peepy, but after the timeskip it got better.
