There is a deference between killing to protect another and having killing intent.

and what would the difference be? Killing intent is when you are about to kill someone intentionally no matter if it is for protection or not. There is a difference when you unintentionally or by accident kill someone while protecting your life.

EDIT: Chap 257-260 out !

Spoiler for Kenichi finally using a cool technique xD:

Spoiler for New animal friends of Kenichi appears:

Gotta love Kenichi and his never say die attitude when it comes to fighting for someone else.

I just finishied reading the D of D and really enjoyed this arc. It is sad to what happens to Sho, he had a very sad past but he showed heroic qualities in the end. As for the chapter that deals with YAMI, I never knew that there were internal struggles within the leadership. I was suprised to read that the reason for those masters to meet together was that they did not want to fight each other.

All masters think their martial arts are the best. It's the same situation with Ryouzanpaku but to a lesser extent. Tension arose when Kenichi asked which one of them is the strongest until the elder walks in.

True, but YAMI does not have an Elder type person to keep them in line. Plus, I was just noticing something with the gathering of the YOMI disciples. The Stanley sibling, Ryuto, and Boris were standing in the background while Tirawit, Chikage, the unkown YOMI member, and Kajima were in the forefront playing strategic games. I was wondering if there was a rank or tier system in which the more powerful of YOMI sat at the game table. Plus
Spoiler for Probable match-ups:

Lol, do you happen to have images of the female YAMI master. As I have said before, that woman has a chest size that more then rivals the majority of the females in this manga.

Elder was a premature announcing the victory to Kenichi. Shou still had life left in him to fight, but the elder simply wanted them to stop tearing each others' bodies up. For mine, I'd still consider the fight more of a draw than anything else. Although that's a moot point now.

Miu definitely seems to have feelings for Shou as well. During the last stages of the fight, even before Shou's heroic sacrifice, she was talking about how both him and Kenichi were at the limit of their bodies' abilities. Against any other opponent, her focus would have been only on Kenichi's injuries.

Also, I wonder if Shou's master is as heartless as he seems? His command to Shou to crush the bird probably saved him from being executed. And he's a master......there's no way he would not have noticed shou substituting grapes for the young bird. And he certainly seemed furious enough when shou died. Given that his face is a mirror image of Sakaki's, the two might have a common history of some sort...

It was also amusing that Yami didn't tell the god-hand that his disciple was shot by one of Fortuna's (and by extension, Yami's) stooges. his reaction might have been interesting. And the shooting didn't seem to me a simple accident of Kano protecting Miu. The first shot might have been mistaken, but that soldier continued firing even after Kano got hit the first time. Either he panicked or his higher-ups (Fortuna?) considered Kano expendable.

I think I shed my fair share of tears. But this was always on the card for Kano, soon as he was introduced as the "swallow in a cage".

They really are a couple now. I'm glad the writer didn't leave it to the last few chapters, as shounen sometimes do. After Miu's rejection of shou because she already had someone to protect her, and then her willingness to take a bullet for Kenichi......there is nothing more for them to prove. I suppose a kiss would make it official.

Speaking of which, elder promised Kenichi a date with Miu if he won the D and D . That should be fun to see.

As for Kenichi's next major opponent, I don't know if they can find a disciple much more impressive than Shou. Maybe it's time he moved onto his first master as his next (major) opponent? Even if Yomi has a new disciple as head, a replacement for Kano would by definition be someone on comparable or lesser level. Otherwise he/she would have been head earlier.

The Shadow Fist is the one keeping them in check.

You know I can't help but notice Honoka's character design being made more mature every odd chapter cover.

With Hermit leaving without any word at all I can't help but think he is in for a big surprise and pain when he comes back.

Shou might have been saved by Ryouzanpakou masters and told everyone he died and hid him somewhere so Yami woudnt find him.

Well from what Freya said to Kisara that Ukita is her type, it seems big men are her type.

Though we don't know whether if fat men fit the bill.

Thor is happy though.
