Whoo~ all the movie singles are finally out. So glad to hear all the songs in full that were used.
Very, very pleased with 2nd year's song 'Future Style' & 僕たちはひとつの光 (Bokutachi wa Hitotsu no Hikari) in full from the single. Soooooo nice. SUNNY DAY SONG from the 2nd single is still quite stuck in my song from the previous week too. (?←HEARTBEAT was likeable for what it is, but definitely works best with the sequence that plays out in the movie IMO...) Meanwhile of course Angelic Angel & Hello,星を数えて (Hello, Hoshi o Kazoete) were great to hear in full too when they came out a couple weeks ago. Really can't wait for BD to rewatch all the sequences/scenes with the songs, all filled with lots of energy and fun.

Crunchyroll: According to the latest Oricon report, "Bokutachi wa Hitotsu no Hikari/Future style," the 3rd insert song CD from Love Live! The School Idol Movie released on July 15, takes the top spot in the CD single daily sales chart on its second day.
The single contains the ending theme for the film, "Bokutachi wa Hitotsu no Hoikari" (We Are One Light) performed by its VA unit μ's and "Future style" by Honoka Kousaka (CV: Emi Nitta), Kotori Minami (Aya Uchida) and Umi Sonoda (Suzuko Mimori). It debuted 2nd with 39,743 copies on the previous day, only behind NMB48's 12th single "Durian Shonen. Its two-day total sales is 63,656. All of the three CDs have gotten NO.1 in the daily chart; the 1st single "Angelic Angel/Hello. Hoshi wo Kazoete" was on the top for five days from July 1 to 5, then 2nd single "SUNNY DAY SONG/?←HEARTBEAT" took No.1 four times. However, both singles had to settle for second place in the weekly chart because of strong competitors such as Sexy Zone and Sandaime J Soul Brothers. Last edited by l.kostas; 2015-07-17 at 10:14. |

Thank You Hokago Teatime, for establishing the new Anime Genre Rule of
Our Beloved Hero/ines must go on a trip to a bustling colorful foreign city for their Cinematic Adventure. Thanks to Love Live New York just might become another "Holy Ground" for Otaku Pilgrims the same way London has after K-ON! The Movie!

ANN: Moviegoers in Japan received film strips rewards, a fairly common gift for anime films patrons. Equally common is especially nice ones going up on re-sell sites to profit off the current craze. One film strip with Nico Yazawa reaching her hands out attracted 435 bids before selling for 701,000 yen (US$5,660) on Sunday. According to an earlier screencap, a winning bid of 913,000 (US$7,372) was placed for the strip but it's no longer listed.
Other auctions showing all the girls faces (200,000 yen), Maki leaning in for a kiss in a car (225,422 yen), and a dance sequence featuring Nico (120,000 yen) are ongoing. Meanwhile, other fans weren't as lucky with their film strips. Some received cuts of helicopters, a bed, the sky, and signs. Last edited by l.kostas; 2015-07-21 at 15:16. |

For those who have seen it (It comes out in Taiwan in 7 days! Yay!)
Compared to K-ON! The Movie, how Heartwarming and/or Tear-Jerking is this film? Need to be mentally prepared because I was taken aback by how surprisingly heartbreaking the "Breaking of the Fellowship" in the Sunset of Season 2 Episode 10 was. And much like K-ON! The Movie (out of which I walked a crying wreck) one can safely assume this is a "Final Goodbye" To Dear Friends. So hit me: Should I bring tissues for this film?

Wow, not sure what to make of the film, having seen it.
I'm definitely glad I took the Adventure with the heroines of Muse, getting to know them, love them and care about them. But the ending was not as emotional as K-ON! The Movie because Love Live always seems to exist in a more fantastical universe not quite as grounded in reality, wherein the fact that mere kids can coordinate-organize-and-create professional-and-show-stopping-concerts through sheer enthusiasm and confidence alone allows you the viewer to maintain a fantastical distance from them, no matter how emotionally invested you may be. Furthermore, whereas K-ON! treats growing up and leaving your childhood behind as a tragedy, Love Live seems to encourage the notion that it's a wonderful step that is meant to be accepted and embraced, as exemplified by the Spoiler:
And it leaves on such an abrupt and distant note that you barely feel like you had time to say goodbye to your heroes, much less digest the concept that they have moved on. It's a heartwarming and fun yarn, yes; but left me wanting more. Then again, much like the real Idol Singer Industry, Sunrise is already preparing to introduce us with unsentimental-celerity to the NEXT New Kids On The Block of the Love Live franchise, encouraging us to move on and forget Muse. And frankly, this new lot do not hold a flickering candle to the warm, rich, energetic and lovable personalities of Muse. Oh Dear.

Oh please. Aside from a lot of Dengeki's articles about the new girls that no one seems to be translating to English (I take that back since the LL wikia have them), making a straight out claim that these new girls have no warmth or any endearing factors to them is just dumb for the simple reason that we don't even know much about them, what their songs are like, and what Dengeki/Lantis/Sunrise have planned for them for the next 3 years. Hell, their first single is only coming out in October.

Rather agree with Nork22 about prematurely judging the Sunshine girls. For me, u's themselves were the odd IM@S wannabe that seemed devoid of charm when I first saw them a few years back. Then the anime aired, and my opinion of them did an abrupt 180.
