I just wonder if the forbidden emperor really is a horrible ruler like what the so called heroes claimed while invading his country. I found it hard to be a lie since there are six nations involved and if the ruler of the invaded country isn't a bad person then most people should know the truth. And the whole thing seemed to happen around 10 years ago which isn't long enough for people to forget.

OMG ! Toru kicked Akari ! And here I thought it would only be girl beats boy... I like it.
"If he`s imprisoned, bound, violated, raped and enslaved... !" Akari has some very interesting fantasies about her brother. I think she forgot the part about "by somebody else".

If I may ask a few questions regarding this series:
1) How goes the vocabulary in this one? Is it fairly easy to understand, understandable but with some obscure kanjis thrown occasionally, or "brb JLPT N1 + spellbook dictionary"? 2) Does it go with a formulaic structure but carries engaging content and presentation, or is it predictable formula a go go? 3) Does the main cast stick with Toru, Akari and Chaika for the most part? I have unfortunately not read any of Sakaki Ichirou's works, but this one has managed to stir my curiosity.

1) It's quite ok to me. Not much difficulty. Seeing as you read Black Bullet, it's much easier than Black Bullet...somewhere around uh, Tokyo Ravens level?
2) You'll have to determine what is engaging to you no? But it does revolve around central concepts. 3) Yep. They are the core croup.

EDIT: Ah! Apologies, but here are some more that just came to mind. 1) How is the pacing of the story? Are the various parts of the story well-balanced in a volume (exposition, action, resolution, etc.)? 2) How goes the fanservice/comedy? Do they make sense and are in line with characters, or are they just thrown in for sheer fanservice/comedy value? 3) How are the characters? Do they strictly adhere to their supposed archetypes and behave in a stereotypical manner, or do they behave in a more compelling (I must apologize; the right word eludes me at the moment) manner? Thanks very much again, in advance!

1) The resolution does tend to get squeezed at times but ultimately, it isn't that much of a bother to me. It can also feel slow at times but well...I read this only when I have nothing else to read in the bookstore so...
2) Can't go wrong with Namaniku ATK's artwork...and the fanservice is not as obnoxious or central as say...HS DxD's if that's what you are worried about. 3) If you mean stereotypically bland....not really. Especially Chaika herself...her origins and backstory are a major plot point. You know...it would be easiest to sum up if I say that occasionally, this series feels like Shining Blade to me for some reason...take what you will of that
