Strike Witches Fan Creations/Ideas Thread

Uh, I restrict the superplanes to those that were actually planned, or something which is doable. Like what Wild Goose said, the planes in Yukikaze novels are more or less looked like modified F-15's (which would probably offer a nice alternative as an upgrade path to the Eagles, since you need to convince the Earth government that this whole project was doable). I'll try NOT to bring Ace Combat superplanes (especially the fan favourites like the Wyvern and co). Even if they did, they would appear as adversaries coming from the organization.

Organizations like those were probably modeled closely after Ace Combat's A World With No Boundaries, except that they are much, much more daring. And they would probably work under the banner of PMCs as a cover, so, SCREW THE RULES OF ENGAGEMENT would be something they would usually do. Level of technology would exceed that of the militaries.

For the mud-moving guys, their upgrade path (provided that it is the Super Tomcat) would be internal upgrades to bring it to the projected Attack Super Tomcat 21, but without any serious external changes, and probably newer technologies (they already have AESA radar and upgraded avionics by then). However, it was mostly an engine upgrade (the specs I've posted in the previous page was after the engine upgrade).

I decided to let the other Sukhoi factory build these variants, since experience they have from the Su-30MKI/MKM variants would be vital, this including making these Sea Flankers Western carrier launch catapult-capable.

I dunno, the whole squadron against 1, and they still didn't take her down for the count? I'd say that while the odds are against Nanoha right now, as soon as her backup shows up, the odds are evened and fireworks will really start flying.

We would lose. Seriously, something like this is just waiting to appear out of nowhere. And of course, people love to portray Nanoha as the winner, but she would probably cede to something like flying Witches soon enough.

12 on 1 might to be too much I think they could take 9 year old Nanoha. I wouldn’t write the 20 year old version quite as quickly though particularly if she just said “Screw it” and went full on Blaster mode. She could already fight off all for forwards while more or less barely even trying the four of them are at least equal to the three noob witches Yoshika, Lynette, and Perrine who will be going to be going down in flames quite quickly as adult Nanoha is smart enough to target them first. Sanya just has a crappy weapon for trying to fight a small man sized target like Nanoha she’s probably basically a non factor if Nanoha doesn’t just avoid her she shots the rockets down. (which is possible thanks to the fact said rockets are slow)

I’m not quite sure which way the speed advantage goes honestly in flight neither appears noticeably more speedy then the other so I’d say it’s a wash. I think Nanoha is more maneuverable though as she’s basically flying using anti-gravity while the witches at least give a slight pretense to aerodynamics. Even if that’s the case though it’s an open question how well she’d exploit that as she has an annoying habit of just trading blows with the enemy in combat. Luckily I’m not sure she needs to make the absloute best of that in order to win…

On defense I think Nanoha again holds the edge she has more types of shields and they seem stronger as well; although some of the maybe slightly slower to form. Still I don’t think she can just stand still and tank the entire squadron at once, but luckily I don’t she’s quite that dense and she should be more then able to absorb a few hits.

Of course though we all know her biggest edge is firepower there’s really no comparison even a low level divine buster easily outstrips just about anything we’ve ever seen a witch do. When she powers up and starts spamming cartridges she’s throwing around grossly more power then the witches are used to dealing with. I’m sure any form of SLB will simply shatter shields and I’d bet DB could as well. Her lighter spells are of lesser use, but would have there place either exploiting openings or keeping targets off balance. Given what we’ve seen her do she should easily be able to form enough guided projectiles to keep everyone dodging and off balance.

If she’s going all out (and in a 12 on 1 fight to the “Death” I think she would) then it’s just obscene I see little reason she couldn’t target different enemies with the "bits" and thus she could quite possibly be blasting (horrible pun intended) the witches out of the sky several at a time.

It’s also important to note that having too many guys in a fight can actually be a disadvantage; they start getting in each others way. She could increase that even more by getting in close which would prevent most of them from firing at her for fear of friendly fire(and I’d take her in Melee over ANY of them). The odds look bad, but given her advantages it’s doable by 20 years old Nanoha IMO.

Hell just look at this… 11 on 1 with roughly equal aircraft end result 4 of the 11 are down (could have been five if not for a dud missile) and the 1 headed home.

Fights like this aren’t actually that uncommon once initial contact is made a fight quickly dissolves into a furball and most encounters quickly turn into one on one or one on two at most. Well flown aircraft can easily turn what looks to be a horribly lopsided fight back around. Add in a superior aircraft to start with and well…

History and Personality:
A Liberion Witch, Keroko is an aggressive, impulsive, speed loving gunfreak. Following her first encounter with a Neuroi after being entrusted with a Striker and a weapon, her superior officers wasted no time in shipping her to the front lines, because they certainly didn’t want her in the rear!

When encountering Keroko, you’re really left wondering if you’re talking to a veteran of many years of combat. Keroko is loud, boisterous and her tolerance for authority comes and goes seemingly in whims. It’s only when the fighting starts that you begin to realize just why Keroko behaves like she does. To her, the entire concept of war is ingrained into every fibre of her being.

Keroko loves the war. That’s the only way to describe it, she loves flying off to the enemy as fast as she can, meet the enemy head on and bash their metallic bodies to pieces. The thrill of danger and the rush of adrenaline as she puts her life on the line is like a drug to her, and she relishes it.

To this day, there is probably only one thing that compares to Keroko’s love for war, and that is her love for speed, and even then when looking at it the two are connected. Flying at high speeds gets more dangerous the faster you go, and the faster Keroko goes, the faster she can get into the thick of fighting. To this end she flies the relatively new Gloster Meteor jet-Striker, and modifies her Striker on a very regular basis. Her Striker, which is already not that common, is turned into an engineering nightmare by her hands. Tweaked and tuned to turn out performances that are both as ridiculous as they are dangerous!

Keroko is a firm believer of the theory: The louder, the better. Bigger guns make more noise and are more destructive, so surely the same must go for engines! Because of this belief, Keroko tuned the jet engines of her Meteor to cause as much noise as possible, and always caries weaponry that makes as much noise as they are deadly.

In combat, Keroko can be seen as the very epitome of brute strength over subtlety. She charges enemies at breakneck speeds, ramming them they don’t move aside, skimming the enemy in ways that almost seem as if she dares them to fire at her, guns blazing all the way through. There have even been records of Keroko landing on Neuroi and ripping out and crushing exposed cores with her bare hands when she’s out of ammunition.

All of this can make one wonder why on earth such a person is allowed in the military at all. The answer is simple: She’s there to kill Neuroi, and she’s damn good at what she does. Her magical abilities give her a very tough defence, and incredible resilience. She can sustain high speeds and impacts better then most Witches can, and has an incredibly tough body to wound.

Also, while Keroko is known for having a passing respect for authority, there is a secret to her insubordination. Keroko believes that having a rank badge does not make you a good warrior, and on the front lines, she believes that warriors, not badge-pushers, have the right to lead. This means that in order to gain her respect –such as it is- you have to prove that you are a warrior above an officer. Usually smacking her around does the trick, though performing impressive feats on the field of battle will also gain Keroko’s respect.

Surprisingly, Keroko is more easy to get along with outside of battle then you’d think. She loves to share stories on the battles that everyone fought, and treats her comrades friendly, albeit a tad roughly. Just don’t expect to make any girl talk with her, because that will get you a raised eyebrow at best.

In periods in between battles she usually occupies herself with modding her Striker in new and interesting ways, while the engineers watch on in despair, sharing stories with whoever will listen and listen as they share their own, or having minor sparing matches with whoever wants to fight. She is quite popular among the male part of the army, primarily because she doesn’t lord her Witch-status over others and actively hangs around the guys from time to time. They’re usually up for a good fight quicker then the girls.

But even though those times are fun, she relishes the times when the alarm howls, a grin spreading across her face as she rushes for her Striker to speed of to the next battle.

I thought of making her Karlslander at first, then with her name I figured she'd be better fit as a Fuso (considering Keroko is actually spellable in Japanese, or so I found out), but because of her obsession with guns, speed and war she ended up being Liberion.

Hahahahaha. A note though, it is interesting to see how two similar, yet different aircraft designs (delta for the IAI Nesher, and tailed delta for the MiG-21) battled. Not to mention this took place in an era of transitions (modern HUD just appeared on some fighters like the F-15A).

Of course, I thought I am looking at a gameplay video of Wings Over Israel.

Also, a Meteor? That seems to be an interesting choice.

EDIT: After thinking about it, I might not write about present-day modern Witches (yet), although I would backdate to Vietnam first. Imagine F-100 Super Sabre Strikers, Swinging Sixties (going into the Seventies), Elvis, feminist movements, the passing of all-gun fighters, and of course, "the triumph of thrust over aerodynamics".

Transitional eras are awesome.

I always planned on giving Keroko a jet-type Striker, but after she became a Liberion Witch, giving her an Me 262 felt kinda awkward, so I searched for what the first jet on the allied side was, which turned out to be the Meteor. It may not be as fast as the Me 262, but its still able to pump out a good 660 KM/H when stock (780 when the F3 becomes available). With Keroko's modding you can add a good 100 KM/H on to that.

You won't see her charging into battle screaming WAAAGH on the top of her lungs though (well, you will see the charging...) anyway, I've been mostly trying to capitalize on the Ork's love for war, speed and loud noises. The bare basics, really.

He may have been born in Texas, Liberion, but as the heir to a shipping empire, Kirby grew up in the Britannica port of Leonapur (Singapore), nestled at the spice confluence of the East and West that is the South-Eastern Commonwealth (SEA). Despite his sea-faring ancestry, it was the sky that attracted him the most, and the boy dreamed of flying in the sky like his familiar, a bald-headed falcon, Crest.

Gifted with magic, Kirby was often seen accompanying his Fuso mother in hospital rounds healing the injured as the seemingly random Neuroi raids stepped up. It led to him being talented-spotted by the junior branch of the Liberian Army Air Corps and was transferred to the Marines before being hurriedly pressed into service as a Strike Marine section leader. His dream of flying had finally come true.

The Boy Named Kirby

Lt. Kirby is a hardworking, natural leader whose intensity commands the respect of his compatriots and sometimes even impresses his superiors with his maturity that does not fit his young age. His level-headedness however belies a tactical gambler and latent hot-blood that runs in all Neel men, and is never shy to take on calculated risks.

Despite his healing origins, he loves a good fight; he charges into battle bristling with heavy primary weapons like the M2 machine gun, automatic RPG launchers, or a 40mm slug-shot cannon, as well as a specially-crafted naginata his mother bought for him upon his commissioning. His male physique and heavy-duty XP-47B unit allows him to carry all that weight and still function effectively as a fighter. Sure the Spitfire and some faster Neuroi run circles around him, but he makes up with overwhelming firepower. And when his guns fail to destroy the opposition outright, he ditches them and charges in fearlessly, lightened and naginata on hand, using the tremendous magical strength of his to clean Neuroi out with devastating effect. All while enjoying the first class seats of the world's roller coaster known as a Strike Wizard.

Kirby's tropically-tempered toughness and ability to focus his barriers into powerful directed shields, even forming small blades, grant him a resilience unlike any other.

Many people often mispronounce his name, and so he has settled for a simpler "Kirby". His Fuso relatives call him Kha, and was the basis of his nickname "the Can-opener". This and many other whimsical bits of the young ace, show that his no-nonsense attitude was only for the battlefield when lives are at stake. Off of it, he is a sociable and refined gentleman that ironically detests the starched-up bull that the upper-class seemed to be choked with. Likewise, he on one hand demand that his squadmates and himself maintain combat fitness, but on the other absolutely hates parades; he believes that tactical and mental discipline needs not such intrusive shows of little practicality.

His firmness and decisiveness accounts for his rapid promotion to 2LT, but his conservative upbringing made him a little averse to leading women, much less even fighting. He has accepted this necessary scourge and stepped up efforts to keep an eye out for his comrades. Squad morale and bonding also mean a lot to him, and he knows how to throw a party, but the effect doesn't always work as planned. It certainly doesn't stop him from trying to reach out to even the most yan of his team.

Never ask him to give a speech though; he tries too hard to make it impressive and ends up too awkward.

Kirby needs no reason or purpose; no slogan of "Fear the Alien." He is just a boy who loves to fly, kick ass and basically play the hero in real life. Stuff that the Neuroi deliver in spades, and nothing will stop him, or his squadron, from coming back for more.

Profile:

Former witch, serves as staff officer of Dawding, fighter command RAF. She had aviation experience with conventional planes starting from 1916 and was a part of the RFC, one of the earliest fighter wings around. She was an established ace with 20 kills and a commander by 1918.

During Neuroi invasion, she was reactivated into RAF for her tactical know-how and fashioned the air support for the retreat from the European mainland when Gallic was lost. With her powers mostly waned away, she was not an effective combatant, yet she took to the skies using a personalized Hurricane Striker the moment that this device became a viable form of weapon, and surveys every battle that she sends pilots to. Some were surprised that the flag officer could live without regulation dress skirt in briefings. (the joke's that given a sufficiently powerful merlin engine, even a brick could fly, let along a flightless bird)


Her temperament meant that she couldn't let herself sit behind a desk despite her advanced age and seniority. She is much keener on putting the pressure on the enemy to to take a passive stance. This won her few friends, but those she did win count for something. In combat, Park prefers to adopt wolf pack commerce raiding tactics in the air than to face her adversary head-on in massive formation. Mobility and swiftness are essential and her aims are to frustrate as much as to inflict damage on her opponents.

Keroko uses turbo-boosting to give her a cover save while assaulting into range and attack Neuroi rear armor? If the Neuroi could speak, they'd be crying cheese now.

That's about surmises it I guess. He's good at manipulating barriers, the solid all-metal construction of the P-47 gives a lot of durability, and he is not shy of Intervening, so we have tanking tendencies. He counts as Arms with the naginata, and Fury when going Sword of Honor + .45 Magnum.

Profile: A very calm, quiet and level-headed person. Almaria is a relatively young Strike Witch, Almaria used to be a Liberion farm girl living with her parents (a Liberion father and a mother from Fuso) in an animal ranch before she was drafted in to become a Strike Witch by the Liberion military. She is well known for her distinctively graceful combat style. And preference of using pistols over bigger guns (this is where the ‘Pistol’ part in her nickname comes from).


Personality: While most Liberions are usually outgoing, she is a very benign person; rarely ever seen angry. And even when angry, she’s almost just as quiet as ever. However, there’s a noticeable aura of light hostility at those times. Almaria is extremely polite by nature, a value her mother ingrained into her since childhood. Despite being an outwardly silent person, she is actually quite confident and can speak out her mind sharply and succinctly if needed. She isn’t afraid of pulling rank when needed either, neither is she afraid of reporting misbehaving superior officers to even higher officers. Her occasional dignified swings in personality earned the ‘Princess’ part of her nickname. She was actually the subject of attraction for many males in the Army (despite her tender age), but she never gave them much notice.

Despite her commendable poise, she is shown to be slightly uncomfortable with any physical contact with people she isn’t familiar with. She’s also somewhat claustrophobic, as she loves being able to move freely without any restraints. As someone who grew up in and used to help out in a ranch, she is extremely good around animals; and conversely, she is one fervent animal lover, to the point that sometimes other Witches jokingly complain that Almaria might steal away their familiars due to her enthusiasm about them. Almaria does acknowledge that she does go overboard sometimes when doting over the other Witches’ familiars, but she usually says she can’t help it (complete with and flushed and embarrassed expression). Speaking about animals, her familiar, Vega the Collie, is very protective and attached to his owner. Although sometimes, he can get rather possessive of her that he shows some animosity towards other unfamiliar animals (and on some occasion, even humans) who get too close to her.

Aside from animals, she also has a hobby in dancing (hence the ‘Prancing’ part in her nickname), and it shows in her flight style during combat, where she prefers high maneuverability and agility over rushing speeds. She specifically configured her Striker Unit, Altair to her specifications.

Almaria is also known for being someone who wants to keep herself busy when stressed or when she just has too much energy remaining. Her activities can range from cleaning to dancing to tuning her Striker Unit to grooming Vega or the other Witches’ familiars to prepping her guns to just plain fidgeting and pacing around and so on and so forth. She hates doing nothing when she goes into her frequent ‘restless’ moods. It has come to the point where her superiors at one time got annoyed and ordered her to learn to rest some more to conserve her energy. She had issues about it at first, but fortunately, she learned to control her impulses the more time she spent in the military. She learned one trick in where she imagines herself doing something else (like flying or dancing) while humming and swaying on the spot.

However…

This has come to the point where it also became a problem, because at times, she spaces out too much while doing this; needing a poke or two to shake her out of her stupor. This has caused Almaria a fair bit of distress. Her teammates have expressed an amused exasperation over her current trouble with being either too workaholic or too klutzy whenever she tries too hard to avoid her bad habits.

Before being drafted into the military, she used to attend an all-girls school, making her a bit nervous around males. In her unit, it took her a fair bit before she was able to get over her nervousness around so many men. And the men in turn took a bit to warm up to her since she used to be too reclusive despite being ‘criminally cute’ to most of them.

As a fighter, she is frighteningly efficient and can land highly accurate killing shots without batting an eyelash. Her flight style is more focused around maneuverability coupled with precision shots to certain points of a Neuroi’s body. Being a pistol-user, she is able to aim at two directions at once since she can use both arms with little strain in movement from using rifles and other bigger guns. Her aim is good since she used to practice shooting in secret (her father was partly to blame) even went into the military.

She has shown the tendency to be excessively focused while fighting the Neuroi, to the point that some of her teammates note that she completely changes demeanor from an energetic country girl to that of a cold-blooded killer during these fights. It is implied that she harbors a deep resentment to the Neuroi. Though the exact reason as to why she hates them so much that she changes to such a degree while fighting them is unknown. (yandere...?)

You said it. By his rank, Kirby can be 2IC of the contingent from Liberion, so I don't see why not. Him clashing with Keroko over tactics will give mucha sparks, and Almaria fits the stealth yandere archetype. And I must also mention that Setsuna F Seiei AKA Aurion Dauer is part of the mechanic team maintaining Kirby's experimental equipment.

Now if we can get 1 more person, we can rebuild the ATX Team! After all, Kirby channels a little bit of Kyosuke, Keroko fits as Excellen, and Almaria works as Kusuha. Either Klan Klein or Kyonko need to apply for the role of Bullet.

I might need to adjust Kirby's age and rank; all the girls are older than him, and the last thing I want is people to mistake him for Negi! Other than that, everything is going according to plan.

Personality:

Elizabeth can be seen as a cheery person, at least from the looks of it. This was due to the face that she live the life of a spoiled child (despite being largely discontent with it), only for her talents to be noticed. This is where it all begins...

Elizabeth hated the war, mainly because of the fact that the Indochina region is a completely different story compared to the lushness of Liberion. Plus the fact that she got problems with seeing the locals having to suffer because of something out of this world.

She got her nickname due to her abilities, and her infamous temperament (at least among her squadron-mates, usually both genders pull tricks on her).

Background:

Raised in a family of wealthy businessmen, Elizabeth was trained from young with the mindset that she would be married off to the son of any random tycoon or whatever kind of families with loads of money. Of course, this was way before the feminist movements of the 1960s.

She was probably attending an all-girls elementary school when her talents in magic started to show. Her hands were abnormally hot, and after endless streaks of burnt paper due to contact at certain times, her parents were having ideas that their child was sort of cursed...until some people with the know-how in supernatural happenings got word about what happened, and visited the family to find out what happened.

It was discovered that Elizabeth is some kind of pyrotechnic, and her skills might prove to be useful in the Indochina region...

Because of changes in Liberion military doctrines, Witches are deployed together with conventional fighters in regular squadrons. This was a transitional era, when missiles are increasingly taking place of guns in fighters (despite how ineffective the missiles are), and Mach 2.0 fighters are a reality and becoming commonplace.

Arriving in Vietnam, she was assigned to the 435th Tactical Fighter Squadron with the F-100D Super Sabre Striker, one already seeing obsolescence (especially the fighter-bomber which the Striker was based on is retired from the frontlines). This wasn't a problem with Elizabeth, since in the least everyone in the same squadron is flying aircrafts that simply aren’t designed to turn (F-4D Phantom IIs). The squadron specializes in quick bombing raids and probably some SEAD (until their duties are taken over by actual Wild Weasels).

However, she would prove herself to be sufficient enough in her services (many a forest and Neurois were burned by her)...until she was given a 'better pair of wings' later on.

Combat information:

Basically, Elizabeth was trained on the ground to use a variety of Liberion infantry weapons to enable her to use any kind of infantry weapon as she sees fit in battles. Because of problems regarding maintenance of weapons in the war (M16s and M60s still maintain some of their bad reputation due to the need for regular maintenance on the battlefield), she would carry an M14 battle rifle as a backup weapon into battle (defying the orders of her superiors, who did have problems accepting M16s as the standard infantry rifle due to the problems associated with it), being one of the very few people (fellow Witches included) that can fire the rifle in its full automatic mode.

When she was first issued with the F-100D Super Sabre Striker, Elizabeth took advantage of the fact that the Striker unit and its namesake fighter are full-on dogfighters, unlike the F-4D Phantom II that her squadron flies, despite its lack of thrust. She also used a lot of diving attacks and other means of attack her squadron mates with the fighters employ, although more than half of the time she would have to cover for them to avoid disasters and Neuroi intercepts. However, time is running out for the F-100D (a time would come when it would be replaced by a better Striker Unit).

Profile
Angelica, or Angel as some of her closest friends call her, comes from a long line of hunters in the northern region of Baltland. She was brought out in the harsh and cold nature at a young age by her parents to learn the basics of hunting, camouflage and stealth. This shaped her into what she is today; a hunter adept at survival and ambush, and that can also use the forces of nature to her advantage.
Some years later, her parents discovered she had the gift of magic and she was recruited by the Royal Baltland Air Force, to serve as a camouflage expert and ambush coordinator.
After a while, she got noticed by Elkki Korpinainen, Squadron Leader of the 4th Strike Squadron, a newly created group within the Suomus Air Force. She recruited Angelica because of her great tactical mind and her ability to take care of herself in any sort of environment.

Personality
Angelica is a diligent, hardworking and honest girl, which can be seen whenever she plans an ambush, follows orders or in everyday life. She follows the set rules and tries to keep the others from breaking them. This is what makes her good at what she does. Even from a low age, she learned to follow what her superiors told her, with few exceptions.
She is pretty shy and calm but can get along with almost anyone, especially if they share the same interest as her, which is reading and baking. When she doesn’t have anything else to do she can be found in the library or somewhere else in the base reading up on combat litterature or reading a fantasy book.
She is known for her baking skills and spends a lot of time in the kitchen, baking her favorite cake (strawberry) and then eating it directly afterwards. She sometimes invites others to share but keeps the cake for herself most of the time.
Few know that she actually enjoys signing up for the night patrol. These sessions gives her the opportunity to fly freely in the cold sky, giving her the time she needs to think about herself, the war and life in general.
She also loves to play around with her familiar, Lirka. An Arctic Fox by origin, Lirka follows Angelica wherever she goes while she is in the base.

Combat Information
In combat, Angelica is calm and follows orders. As she specializes in ambush techniques, she often stays a distance from the battlefield, waiting for her comrades to make the enemy distracted. When that happens, she flies in with high speed and hit the enemy where it hurts.
To further improve this, she uses her magic to make herself slightly transparent, making her harder to see against the sky. This also allows her to do scouting sessions or operations deep into enemy territory without getting discovered. Of course, the sound of her Strike Unit still gives her away but she has tried her best to modify it to run quieter, at the cost of less power.

A few notes:
• 4th Strike Squadron is a fictional squadron I made up to fit into the Suomus Air Force. Same goes for the commander and the rest of the members. They work in a slightly different way than a regular Strike Squadron (I think).

• I’m not so sure about her stealth “Spell” power. I’m looking for something similar to a camouflage technique, if this won’t fit. Maybe some kind of optical illusion simulating the sky or something could work. Anything that makes her less visible and that can use magic.

• Of the little canon info I have and understand, Baltland has not been invaded by Neuroi, because of Suomus stopping them from the east. If anyone else has any other info regarding the status of Baltland it would be appreciated.
