By the way for anyone who is interested in practising their Japanese by reading the raws, you may check the link below. It is the original webcomics of OnMs before it gets serialized in a manga magazine. The language is easy enough, so as long as you have some elementary Japanese knowledge, it should be a breeze for you.

It's quite a good read, and I'm glad I picked this one up. It's been a long time since I read a warming and fuzzy manga like this one (as far as I remember, the last one is Mahoraba). I'm far from being an Otaku, but this manga made me feel relieve a little bi

.

Chapter 18 was a nice chapter. It was amusing to see Kanau's "devilish" side and Kouta's resolve.

Kouta's facing his problems with balancing his otaku life and his responsibilities as a father. I wonder if Kanau's going to learn to rely on Kouta more later on.

Well, it applies to me. Not sure about everyone else.

Other than that, this was a nice chapter. It was funny at parts, especially when they'd have to describe otaku references to the non-otaku parts of the cast. Some parts I didn't get [The reason for keeping the dog].

They keep it because it's named Soichiro, which becomes a joke based on the manga Maison Ikkoku by Rumiko Takahashi. Maison Ikkoku is about an old apartment building full of eccentric characters run by a young and beautiful manager. She's the love interest of the main character, and he always calls her manager-san. However, she's in mourning for her late husband Soichiro, which delays the romance. She named her dog after Soichiro.

Anyway, by referencing that series they're sort of making fun of the whole situation, and keeping a dog named Soichiro makes it even more obvious. A very Otaku joke.

Edit: Which makes me kinda sad that I got it.

Chapters 26 and 27 are now out by vizscans or however you call them. I had to hop on MIRC to get them but it was well worth it.

Definately check them out they are worth the read this time with lots of humor and just a slight bit of ecchi.

Im kinding of hoping for a Kouta and Haruka moment but i doubt that Kanau will let them be together. Calling him a lolicon or something or just getting angry at him for not choosing her mom.

Haruka is 17 which is of legal marriage age, and considering how slow Kouta is, they wont get married until years later. But still, I wanna see the drama and comedy unfold if this route is taken

But it starts to feel a bit like Mahoromatic: not for the ecchiness (there's close to zero fanservice in OnMs so no worries ), but for the feeling that the current warm and joyful moments are timed, and will end as soon as the invisible timer becomes zero. But having Sumi Shimamoto (famous for her role as Kyouko THE manager in Maison Ikkou) makes them too epic to miss. P.S. don't ask me for the translated scripts coz I don't wanna get banned. Spoiler: These 2 new chapters go with each other since they both have to do with the Festival. I don't want to spoil too much so i'll just let you guys know that it's about Kanau oriented chapters. And we see a lot more Haruka development, even if it's just a little. Definately check them out they are worth the read this time with lots of humor and just a slight bit of ecchi.
