Don't be fooled...this isn't the start of a romantic comedy. This could possibly be the best first introduction to any anime, except for the fact that I get teary every time I watch it.

I like Griffith's quotes as well, they are undeniably recognizable.

What makes this such a hard decision is understanding context, some quotes stand alone well. Others require the context to be great.

One of my favorite quotes that stands alone is from Kino's Journey, a very simple one, "Charity is not for the sake of others."
