So basically Index is depressed while Mikoto is still in shock. Somehow disappointing, I would have expected them to keep looking for him at least till his death was confirmed. |

Mikoto still have all her friends and a life to think about, it's hard to throw away everything and go on a random hunt.

Anyway I was looking up some animal symbols for the dragon(touma) and the hawk(fiamma) it turns out fiammas hawk arm also represents evil. I was thinking it was a phoenix. But a phoenix represents Jesus. Sooo it's possible angels aren't so nice as people think of them. |

Besides, if we were to apply animal symbols, what kind of symbols would we use? The eastern kind, or the western kind- it varies from country to country. |

As for Mikoto... what I'm saying is that without knowing Touma is dead, or at least assuming so, she wouldn't go back to that life and friends... do you have any idea of the terror of imagining a loved one wandering around in an ice death trap? even doing a random hunt feels better than just waiting. So clearing it a bit, what I meant is that I'm disappointed they (or at least Mikoto) assumed him dead... then again, Index would have known via Styl that Touma still was at the Star of Bethlehem... ... now that I think about it, I don't know how much time passed between then and the new novel... anyone would eventually give up and assume the worst... ...Bah, whatever, guess I simply expected more drama. |

Well it's not like Touma was kidnapped or lost in the Mountains, where would you even begin to look in the vast ocean? If not even the big organizations with their resources and manpower could find him, realistically speaking there's not alot that one girl could do. But don't worry, there's no shortage of drama to milk from this scenario

Anyway... maybe not one girl... but what about nearly 10000? Jk, it's not like Aleister would allow his carefully placed network to condensate at Russia. Btw... Js06 finished SS2 Here's the Last Chapter of SS2 |

It's not like I'm the Author.
But if I were I could tell you there's still potential to produce drama out of this, and God knows we need more drama for Touma's side of the story. Quote:

Oh, I thought you were talking about something from the new novel...

... Changing the subject, I'm new on the forum so dunno if it has been talked about before, but could the "new testament" have anything to do with that other "testament" used on the Misakas? |

Well what if the symbolism doesn't have to do with Christianity? Alistair told Fiamma that he used the outdated Osiris methods, while Alistair used Horus. What if this has to do with Egyptian symbolism, because Horus' symbol was also a hawk, and a hawk does represent evil (after all Alistair is called the most evil magician). There is also the legend of when Horus attempted to overthrow god, and the Egyptians were known as a highly scientific empire back then, much like Academy City might seem to be. As for the dragon, it is was common for dragons to be heavenly beings, gods in some cultures.

By the way, on the nature of Ollerus power, I got a different impression than I initially had. It seems that the unusual thing about is that the way he's using the spell was in a way it's not supposed to be used in to produce an effect that was undocumented before (so his power is really turning defensive spells in to offensive ones?) so instead of being unexplainable phenomena, it's really the way he's using the power thats supposed to be unexplained. 2£
