Kana Asumi's been on a roll lately, hasn't she? Yuno, Namika, Ann, Sasami and now she's bringing her energetic flair to Hinata here. This show is an actual 3:00 (3:30 with the end credits), and that extra 30 seconds does make a bit of a difference. The CGI-heavy pan around the classroom at the start of the episode was a little odd, but otherwise it looked pretty nice. 8-bit can do some nice scenery work, and in a show about mountains, scenery is the entire point. Mostly just premise-setting so far, but there's a very clear goal in mind here - reach the mountaintop. Ideally while yodeling, like that guy on The Price is Right. The pacing was good, too.
Not bad for the first new show of the new season. |

Hmm. Shorter than I'd been expecting, but fun all the same. I liked it, although I think a few people posting here may have their yuri goggles turned up to eleven.
The bit in the classroom at the start did make me wonder if the show had been planned for 3D broadcast. |

For a three minute episode I was entertained by this a lot more then I thought I was going to be. This series looks like fun and I look forward to what it brings next. (Hopefully two more minutes of fun.)

Heh, a nice first episode. I was expecting this to be longer since it seemed like that kind of anime but I guess not
Already liking the characters that have been introduced, we'll see where this goes from here on

It was cute, and I can close my eyes and picture Tsukihi and Popura talking to each other just for laughs.
Really though, is there a sudden craze for series that run in shorts? A lot of stuff I've been looking at as of late are around 3 minutes long and it feels a tad jarring. I don't know if it's just me, but shorts are usually best in a singular focal presentation instead of splitting up what could just be a regular episodic series or one lengthened OVA. The waiting transition between episodes is usually fair because you have a solid 20+ minutes of content to lull over, but to have 13 episodes at 3 minutes each? We'd be lucky to hit the content of two standard episodes. Mulling aside, it definitely was enjoyable, I will not deny. Will just have to wait and see how it plays out, but I shan't expect much. Seriously looking forward to a full version of that ending though.

Didn't know this was supposed to be a romance, I expected it to be an emotional slice-of-life myself.
Oh, and let it be said that there is no such thing as a "girly anime". It's a term coined by society that I strongly stand against.

This was really short. I'm not sure this anime will be able to invoke emotions with such a format, but we'll see. In the meantime, the premise definitely appeals to me. Characters seem like they will be fun, especially Hinata.

Though imo it should have gotten a full ep length treatment. :\

Aoi's still overcoming her hurdles, but this was a nice follow up from the previous week. The one gag the episode had - about mistaking the tent frame for a bear fighting apparatus - worked well, and the scenery continues to be pretty beautiful.

The second episode confirmed my initial impression. This is a sweet little show I'm greatly enjoying so far. The staff is doing a great job given the format. Aoi's recollection of her previous trip was very nice.
