I would not call it a harem, but rather more of a shifting polygon of connections that shift gradually over time. But just as winter gradually fades into summer, there are quite a few storms along the way.
I usually call that "ensemble plot" ... not harem, just the way groups of people often actually interact when they all find each other attractive.

I like what I saw in the PV, and Horie Yui.

Will definitely be looking forward to this one.

At the AnimeNewsNetwork page about the PV there is this description:
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...promo-streamed
"Protagonist Banri Tada narrates the promotional video, and explains that he moved to Tokyo when he was accepted to college, feeling that he could be reborn somehow by doing so. He explains that things are so fun, touching, and fulfilling, that even when things are lonely, painful, or mistaken, everything will still shine in a golden color."

Looks cheap... well, my expectations are a little high, I guess.
I kept hearing Ryouhei Kimura when reading the book, and am a bit disappointed that some random newbie is voicing Banri, but Hocchan should make up for that, I guess.

Aww, I'm really glad this is getting an anime; really liked the premise since reading the translated LN, BUT..... I don't like the character designs - too cutesy, especially the main guy.... >.<

And like Kaisos said: looks cheap >.>

I've been really looking forward to this show and I thought the PV looked really nice! I don't see it as "cheap," but then again I'm not an expert opinion on animation.

While I'm very disappointed Nagai couldn't direct this, I don't think Kon's involvement is the end of the world. I can say I've personally enjoyed at least a few of her work, so that leaves me with some hope that she can properly adapt Golden Time and have it as another bright spot on her spotty record. I feel a work by Yuyuko Takemiya deserves at least that much. If anything, I'm more worried that her involvement is going to drive a lot of people to not check the show out.

I'm curious, has there been any confirmation as to whether the show is going to be 1-cours or 2-cours? Toradora! and Sakurasou's precedent would imply it's 2-cours, especially since Sakurasou covered about six volumes which is where Golden Time is currently at with a seventh on the way.

I doubt it will run for more than a cour. They won't have had enough time to adapt more than three-four books either.
This isn't Toradora, we're not going to get through the entire story.

I'm hoping it'll be 24 episodes. There are 6+3 LN volumes out already, and vol 7 planned for October. The average book-to-episode count in LN adaptations is 3, so they could easily fill 21 episodes without even dipping into the gaiden books. Recalling how they timed the final Toradora novel publication with the broadcast of the final anime episodes, I also think it's possible they have Golden Time vol 8 planned for publication in ~6 months so it can coincide with the final 3 episodes of the anime (for a total of 24).

And like I said in my previous post, Sakurasou wasn't a complete adaption. They adapted up to volume 6 with the beginning of volume 7 as an epilogue.

Right, but the anime probably began production before Vol.6 was even out... again, this isn't Toradora, where they had and took the opportunity to finish the series more or less entirely because the staff liked it so much, IIRC. I don't think we'll see the same thing here.

I don't really know enough about the creative process behind anime adaptions and their productions to really be able to say whether they could properly incorporate volume 6, but "finishing the series" isn't really a requirement for a 2-cours.

No, but they probably don't have enough material to work with for 2-cours, which is what I'm getting at.

At the official site an event was announced. Looks like there will be an official prescreening of the first episode on September 23 at a venue in Japan.

Yui Horie will be singing both the opening and the ending. Funnily enough, she did the same thing for Toradora! for its first ending and second opening.

It's being broadcasted late at night, probably to aim for the college crowd.

Also, new image:
