I'd like to check some out but i have no idea where to begin. can someone who listens to it give me some suggestions? chiba was just so cool in the Beck anime!

hmm.. the anime that comes to my mind when you mention "hip-hop" is Samurai Champloo. Its a great anime to watch.

Yea I think the only anime within that genre is Samurai Champloo...I'll try looking for some more for you though.

You should search for the artists behind the music for Samurai Champloo. Fat Jon, Nujabes, Shing02 etc.

You should check out Rip Slyme, Ketsumeishi, m-flo, and Dragon Ash and work your way from there. They are the most famous hip hop groups in Japan.

I definitely recommend Dragon Ash, Teriyaki Boyz, m-flo(my friend sang with them for a few songs on their last CD)
