The latest (short) movie was in 2021. And the manga is still very popular. Plus Shuka is still alive and making a new series now.

I don't think there's ever been a question the whole series would get animated eventually. The gaos between seasons have always been long.

Now let's finally get a new Kogitsune ep.

Honestly Natsume is always such a great show to peacefully ride through. The slow, but clear character development is easy to acknowledge as well.
