i just wonder why we don't have more translators for light novels, would be awesome to read TWGOK, To Aru series etc.
Well i could try and learn japanese, but given how much knowledge i'd need and kanji knowledge at that, it would seem quite hard (+learning tons and tons of expressions that don't exist in the other languages i speak make it even harder) : (

Oh btw, am i the only one that Sora reminds of Haruhi? The tsun part and the generic hair style fit

No unfortunately. There's way too many who think the same way upon first glance and it is really bothersome. She is anything but generic and her 'tsun' is just directed at Yuuta due to her not knowing how to act around him.

another version came out. Looks like this one has nothing to do with the kids and focuses on Raika.

The Yuuta-centric spin-off so far is the least interesting spin-off for me :\
But I don't know why, I laughed a lot when Nimura said they also got to him with the same trick

The first chapter of the Hina manga is out. I was just about killed by the cuteness.

That Hina spin-off is definitely the best spin-off for me.
No, not because all those lolis

I'm not into the series because I'm expecting fan service at the first place, but mainly because the family theme and the story of a man struggling his best to raise his sister's family interest me, and Hina spin-off deliver those the best. Well, but I'm also not a hypocrite, I admit some fan service was good and Yuuta x Sora pair is nice to watch, that's why it's nice to see when they're blushing after the teacher mistook them as Hina's parents XP

Never enough translators for novels. Anyways, why are sub groups fighting over a single anime while many novel series are lacking translators?

Hmm...also, I think Ping once answered that in the Ro-Kyu-Bu thread.

Are there any other major novel translator groups besides Baka-Tsuki ?
They do translate many novels but they are so thin spread that most of them are unfinished which makes me sad.

CE Translations. It's pretty solo-done, but Onii-Ai and Hyouketsu Kyoukai no Eden, which are both good IMO.

Just read chapter 3 and 4 of Street Observation (Raika/Yuuta-centric) spin-off.
Chapter 4 was good, it showed Raika one of Yuuta's good point. Don't know if it could be counted as Raika flag raised, she's that weird XD

As for chapter 3, Nimura is the boss XD
But it kinda creep me out a little how player like him is good with Takanashi girls, especially Miu, the prettiest of all three (I know it's arguable but IIRC Miu was scouted for model or something, wasn't she?). And in fact she said on chapter 1 of main manga that he had high expectation of the three

Skipped through the first part of Volume 1, read the last part, as well as volumes 2 and 3. Wasn't bad, IMO. As I thought, Sora probably gets the most screen time as a girl.

Finished up to 5 (as price, I lost 3 hours of sleep. )

Basically, if I do a comparison of anime and mangas I know, it's like a Ro-Kyu-Bu setting with emphasis on how the protagonist manages to live with the three girls.

Spoiler for Volumes 1-5:

not to mention is easier to tranlate a manga chapter, than 4 pages of the novel specially since the manga comes with furigana.

also in my opinion the observation research spinoff its the most interesting for me so far, wich makes me happy to seeign it beign translated so fast.

A couple shoujo spinoffs came out. Too many spinoffs. Funny we have ten year olds talking about romance.
