Well, it's NOT so strange when you consider (despite dubbing) how he grew up...he was trained constantly and harshly to be the "perfect" soldier. Of course, a "perfect" soldier would not only be among the best at defeating their opponents, but they'd always follow strict routines, obey orders without question, do whatever it took to complete those orders, or to die trying. Essentially, he was attempted to be turned into some kind of robotic-like drone which DO sound like retards reading his lines. They were drilled into his head over and over again.

It takes far more than 1 year to completely erase a lifetime of such things from your mind. With the scientists dead and their actual mission essentially done with (since they weren't being used for the 2nd Operation Meteor attempt), Heero has to learn to discover himself in a new light and learn to act more...well...human.

yeah I know what you mean.. about the drone like talking and robotic behaviour of him... but well since they had shown Wing here on TV.. actually in the kids program.. right after pokémon and before that tsubasa ozora show.. I was kinda..totally used to his arrogant but very sympathic german voice.. it was so.. yeah I'm so used to it,

but like I said.. the german dubbing of Heero failed complelty in the Movie.. but was pure awesome in the show... and the other way round for English.. though thinking about what you said.. yeah it makes sense.. it really does.. I think I need to watch it again..

btw.. the german dubbing of Seed.. failed dramatically to no extent.. EVERY SINGLE TIME something bad happend to someone they said something like well let me explain that one

something bad happens to someone, someone gets suprised by something in a bad way, or just can't handle anything more, and every character, every single one (except for the female ones.. since there is no german dubbing of GSD yet..) said it in the same way...
