Anime/Manga/Game Identification Help [See first post]

The scanlator's website had an online viewer for the (four?) manga he worked on. What I remember being really distinctive is that he spent a lot of time working on translating and editing the sound effects. I want to say that the page had a black background, but I'm really not sure about that one.

I think one of the other manga that the guy worked on was the original Pet Shop of Horrors (or something with a similar title). And I'm pretty sure that he ended up being hired by Dark Horse or some other U.S. publisher.

I'd be very pleasantly surprised if someone does remember what I'm talking about. If not, oh well. Thought it might be nice to take a look see at that series once more. Granted, I'm not sure if it's licensed or not, though.

So I stumbled up on it a couple days ago. The scanlator's Studio Robb, who went to Iron Cat Studios (which has since closed, I think). The series I was thinking of is "The Legend of Mikazuchi."

it's not Digital Performance rather, by Kumasan Team/Kogado Studio it's also in the image itself. The same team that gave us Gadget Trial.

The image itself is from digital performance. The character herself is originally from the Kogado game Akatsuki no Amaneka to Aoi Kyokami (the game doesn't contain NSFW material, but getchu run adult oriented eroge ads, so be careful when clicking). The game is generally just called Amaneka for short (Amaneka is the main character btw).

Is it? I never actually got around to finishing that show (I believe the subs ended up stalled for ages and I eventually forgot about it), but I don't recall any gundam-ish mechs in it. I can imagine the sour taste you speak of though, seeing that in an otherwise decent mecha show
