i didn't like Mashiro this ep. there's something about the way he's handling things that makes me not like him. rest of it was good though. i can see the pace being a little slow. for a 13 ep series, i don't know where it'll end the way its going.

Great episode , Shujin beat this bastard !!! I would do the same ! "Tell the teacher" like i would care... this dumbass... but it does help spreading the info in the school so.. Anyway Eji is the crazy genius as we have seen in Death Note ^^ |

Hell yeh! Nice punch from Shujin! Best part inthe series so far!
And that guy sure was jealouse a lot. That loser didn't even get that far and was already insulting someone who did. Hope for some Kaya/Shujin relationship development, seems far more intersting than the main pairing.

There's something I've been wondering.. How come they can say popular manga/anime titles aloud without censoring ? There's Dragon Ball and now Naruto, Bleach, One Piece and one more I forgot was mentioned.
Any other show censors this stuff for .. exactly what reason ? It sounds ridiculous to me that there would be a copyright in the first place for you to not be allowed to say their name in other works =_=

Our boys aren't quite there in Jack, but almost.
The fifth episode strongly emphasized Moritaka's burning desire not to lose against his yet-to-meet-rival, Nizuma Eiji. The episode itself delves upon his dilligence, perseveration, and continuous hadwork to get their manga done, as noticed by Takagi with a trace of concern. |

Anyway, episode was a little boring, though the punch was a good ending. I wanted to see more of Eiji tbqh, he seems to be a lot more entertaining than protagonist-kun. And man that guy at the end who was bragging about his art work being better, he was acting all tough guy, but then he pulls out a couple of moemoe character designs. Haha, hilarious. |

So, the plot finally has reached the arc where Akito and Mashiro submit to Jack the fruit of their combined efforts.
Their appointment with Mr. Hattori was one of my most remembered scenes from when I started reading the manga. It made me reflective about the nature of manga industry. Aspiring and potential manga writers don't have it easy. Manga career itself is a gamble, explicitly established by Mashiro's uncle and later Mr. Hattori. There are those who are innate gifted and naturally talented, and there are those who are the calculating at thinking ahead what or which would be big hit for readers. |
