Anyone who puts a label on their cape that says "Al Qaeda" is.. because its not a single hierarchical organization but a mess of separate cells and individuals. I've come to view the claim as essentially a self-pretense that one is a "warrior" rather than a cowardly loser who murders the defenseless.

(And no, I don't think the killing of anyone's children is anything but cowardly as I stare at a certain US soldier)

yeah... obviously both sides are trying this case in the public and one should be healthily skeptical ... but the current information make that guy look like he was just trying to sidestep a whole bunch of things, doesn't it?

He just says he's been trained by them which isn't actually difficult, I don't think. All you have to do is find base, train for a few weeks and, hey presto, you have links to Al Qaeda.

Considering just how cheap tv news orgs are, I wouldn't put it past them for actually sucking that hard. There are like a TON of blooper reel level gaffes I notice on tv.

Yeah, but three big screw ups in one image is a bit much, don't you think? Especially if one of them is missing an occasion to point fingers at the Muslims.

Is the "Buddhist Madman" supposed to refer to the al quada guy who terrorized Jewish students?

If so, yeah, too many screw ups there, it has to be a photoshop.

Well, I just got a note that the New York Times is going to make itself even more irrelevant to the Internet:

Quote:
Beginning in April, visitors to NYTimes.com will have access to 10 free articles per month instead of 20.
I kind of understand they *want* to have a subscription model like their old "dead tree" model.... but there's too much ad-supported or free news sources out there for this to work very well for them.

I hate to defend fox news here, but that image is fake:

Now for a completely unrelated event: Remember my previous post on Mysterious sounds heard all over the world?

Well now that this phenomenon affected the state of Wisconsin just 3 days ago, the mass media is finally talking about the subject:
Mysterious Booms and Trembles Plague Wisconsin Town, Baffle Scientists
