Man, feel kind of foolish for feeling Takumi had a chance of winning. Still was pretty surprising, but I agree that there wasn't much else they could do storywise.

In terms of this arc overall, yeah pretty much a sausage fest. While I did want to see her taken down a few pegs, part of me feels Alice lost too early for the tournament.

that being said is that necessarily a flaw?

I think that he'll have to win the knife back on his own, though
if someone else does it for him it's pointless

Mimasaka surprised me. I really didn't think he had planned this far, I thought for sure Takumi would manage to outmaneuver him. He isn't the kind of stalkers for nothing. The final page was WOW.

I hope Souma won't take the easy way out by simply tricking Mimasaka into thinking he's making another dish (when you know how he operates, it's not hard to counter him), but will instead utterly crush him by beating him at his own game. He will make a dish that surpasses even the one meant to surpass his. One Mimasaka can't even imagine.

Doesn't necessary, after Souma loose, Subaru will be come the MC and the title change to "Shokugeki no Stalker" (which quite fitted).

This is why this manga is so interesting. Level headed genre savvy MC in shounen manga is quite rare in Shonen Jump nowadays

Seems to be confirmed that he doesnt know who Souma's dad really is since he belittled the restaurant and was surprised they even had a so good quality knife.

Souma was cool this chapter, I love his personality.
That said, I hate when the main character of a series bets his carrier or life or some other huge bet because it pretty much guarantees his victory, otherwise the manga would be over.

I'm expecting a Soma vs Mad Dog, we've yet to see them clash.

Its obvious Soma is going to win, on the other match im sure that the spice guy will win. This way they will be able to have another rematch that Soma can completely win.

Mimasaka Subaru is behind the doors. Mimasaka had borrowed their keys. Mimasaka reveals to Yukihira that the matches in the next round will be "Kurokiba Ryo vs. Hayama Akira" and "Mimasaka Subaru vs. Yukihira Soma." Naturally, Mimasaka wants to turn the match into a Shokugeki. He wants to put Aldini Takumi's Mezzaluna and Yukihira's knife at stake. Yukihira surprises everyone (Mimasaka and the eavesdroppers behind the door) with a counter-offer. If Yukihira wins, Yukihira wants all of the 99 knives that Mimasaka had ever won in Shokugeki. Mimasaka tells him that there is no way that he would accept such a one-sided deal. Yukihira surprises everyone again by telling him that if he loses, he will quit being a chef. Yukihira surprises everyone a third time by offering Mimasaka a little help. Yukihira tells Mimasaka that he plans to make the dish that is on his plate right now.
