1 hour long? when is the airing date? this reminds me of re:zero but even if they stretch it to 1 hour. There isn't much that happen in the early part of the game though, they did rearrange or change it. I wonder how they will present it.

Regardless of if much happens or not its good to see them trying to sweep past the common route without rushing too much. If this is 1 cour we need as much material to be told early on so we can get to the girls route as soon as possible. Besides the more episodes for the girls routes the less rushed it will seem.

I don't know if you have read all the news. It's confirmed that the anime will have "original developments" and it will be the 6th route that is not in the game. We don't know if they will take anything from the 5 girls' routes from the game to the anime (or my worst fear that there might be nothing from the game routes at all) but they won't be exactly their routes in the anime anymore. This way we don't even know if discussion of the episode count even matters as we don't really know what kind of story it will be in the anime form or how much they want to adapt from the game.

Though I'm all for sweeping past the common route as well. I like the common route for its comedy and mystery elements but it is a bit too long before getting to the meat of the story.

It was also explained that they just go with upcoming Rewrite+ plot, not that they are making it heavily anime-original. Because Tonokawa and Ryukishi had a lot of freedom with their routs, VN plot was very inconsistent so Tanaka have rewritten some parts to deal with it. Both anime and upcoming VN remake will use that script.

BTW. Visual Arts SEO recently said that ReWrite anime might be even longer than LB one.

Airing date is Saturday 23:30 JST, starting from 2nd July.
