Well... the paypal restriction makes it a bit difficult otherwise I'd just say amazon.co.jp
www.nippon-export.com uses a "paypal like" service called Moneybookers in addition to credit/debit cards -- you might check that out. They're also known for "if we don't have it and it exists, we'll get it for you." edit: they will also take Paypal but you have to read up on how they do it on their site.

Where can you buy the books from the publisher Chuang Yi? Because it doesn't look like amazon.com is offering any of their books...
EDIT: By the way, I know you can order their books from here: http://www.chuangyi.com.sg/catalogue/catalogue.html But I am looking to buy the Spriggan books, but they are not offering them anymore... Last edited by Lawfer; 2007-10-27 at 07:33. |

Hello
I was wondering if anyone has ordered manga from these sites before? or if you at least know if they are reliable and legit? AnimeSuperValue eMerchandise I'm really heisted to order from these sites, especially the first one since I can't seem to find much info on it, but they are the only sites I found in the U.S that offers all of VIZ 12 volumes of Gundam The Origin, so if anyone knows of a reliable site that offers all the manga volumes, please let me know. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank You! Last edited by Zainin; 2007-11-05 at 10:19. |

Again, my life is rich and full.
I live in Austin, just north of the UT area. We have Dragon's Liar and Austin Comic both FULL of manga. Our "MainStream" book stores are full of manga now. Our Public Library even has some choice titles. There is even a DVD rental store with nothing but anime. If you have to live in Texas, make sure it is Austin! |

How come nobody has mentioned Book Depository? It's particularly a great site for those in Europe and United Kingdom, and they offer free shipping to Western Europe, North America and some other countries

Hey all! I have a rather important question [for me it is lol]:
I'll be traveling to New York City sometime soon and I am looking for places where I can get the Japanese shojo and shonen manga magazines. I've heard that there is some sort of Japanese "town" [like the Korean and China towns] but I haven't found anything about it. I'd really really love to find Japanese bookstores in NYC and maybe I will have some luck there. I tried looking online but the shippind is a killer and so I was hoping they would be easier to find in New York. Any help is GREATLY appreciated! |

In Rockefeller Center (where they have the big X'Mas tree) there's Kinokuniya, where you can get new magazines, manga, dvds, etc. This place is probably your best bet for current stuff, and I'm told the staff can be very helpful. Near Grand Central Station, there's BookOff, which deals in used books, magazines, dvds and cds - most of my raw manga is from their other New York store that closed. Their "used" stuff is usually in great shape, and sometimes they have fairly recent manga and magazines. A short bus ride away in New Jersey is Mitsuwa Marketplace, which has a bookstore (magazine section about as big as Kinokuniya's) and other shopping as well as great food. And of course, there's always Chinatown, which is great for the food and toys alone. I'll be frank, most of the dvds and cds I saw last time were boots, but you asked about manga and magazines, right? I've seen some toy stores and newsstands carry Chinese editions of popular manga titles, so if you're not particular about getting the original Japanese... There's probably more; hopefully someone with a better list will post. Last edited by Robotnik; 2007-12-06 at 03:36. Reason: wordiness :P |

Otaku Fuel ships manga worldwide, and the checkout is automated.
Just noticed a lot of where in the world type of questions... |

Kinokuniya bookstores. =P
Or if you don't have one in driving distance I guess their website may suffice. http://www.kinokuniya.com/
