I've just been pretending the series is on hiatus for the past month or so now.

She's not bothering with more and more of the activities. So far I have noticed.
-Swimming, most obvious for everyone, since ep 2
-She hasn't touched the drink in the first restaurant discussion scene since ep 4.
-Job, she just sits there not interacting with the kids or others, this ep.
-Stargazing this ep.

I think part of the reason the producers are not going with traditional ground hog day loops is that they want to show Yuki giving up more and more. So she not even in full blown I-don't-fucking-care-anymore mode yet.

We will probably see her not bothering to buy masks for the final loop.

After seeing Mikuru swing that bat, I was laughing all the way to the end of the episode.

There has been much mention of Yuki's patience during the Endless Eights. Wasn't that, also, a main point made during the Tanabata episode? Additionally, didn't Kyon complain during the Tanabata episode about having the think too much and wanted a period of peace and quiet? Well, he has that now.

The nerd rage caused by Endless Eights both here, in /a/ and elsewhere is what makes this season of Haruhi Suzumiya awesome.

This is why I keep watching, and keep following it.

Because damn the nerd rage is hilarious.

Edit: and yes, I have indeed noticed that Yuki seems to be more and more bored with it all from episode to episode. Each loop that's animated, she does less and less, interacts less, spends more time reading.

Eventually will she become bored enough to tell Kyon about the loop before Mikuru fails to return to her time period?

I haven't actually noticed that much rage on /1/ anymore. There are a couple of snarky threads, there's some drama, but it seems to die down pretty quickly.

That was 3 years, 6 centuries is apparently too long even for Yuki. And besides she is probably capable of shutting down her consciousness so it all pass like a long sleep instead of having to be awake for the whole duration repeating stuff.

If they adapt the source material without changing anything else it should be pretty decent.

I skipped to the end, saw them fail, and just deleted the episode.

What a waste of my time.

The endless Eight title was in the form of the infinity symbol

I got a kick out of the Kyonkun Denwa overload, and her delivery of it this ep was awesome.

Has someone has already done one with all of Koizumi's "I Ruv yous?"

I think that the "nerd rage" is sorta like gone to "nerd don't giving a damn anymore", i mean, that what i can see here mostly. A lot of people that raged back then and, today just sorta... Moved away to other stuff. The endless rage just lived up for like 4 eps, hehe.

I'm getting the ep now, it's the same thing, but it's always nice to see more Yuki. Who cares about story anyway, closes in Yuki is what i want.

The first couple of times it repeated it was aight because I had the attention span to pay attention to the various subtleties. Now that we just finished the 7th episode though, I'm thinking it's gone on a bit too long. Didn't hold my attention at all, and I know the 6th episode was somewhat painful too. I haven't read the source material so I'm not sure where this 'Endless Eight' thing comes into play. But if what they're doing is being faithful to the material, then I can't hold it against them.

Hmmm, never looked at the "Haruhist" fandom in that light before but it certainly does share some parallels...

So really, KyoAni's response to all the angry fanboys might as well be something along the lines of some Imperial Witchhunter:

"All unbelievers MUST DIE!!"

Thank God I didn't have to buy any of this crap direct to DVD, which was how all the R1 licensors have been selling anime up till now!

There were some cool camera angles in this ep. The mind-effery was mainly in the usage of camera, though, and that was about it.

I actually thought the animation was really good in this episode. Overall, the characters looked wonderful. There were a couple points that were a little off (Haruhi and Mikuru playing with the ball at the pool), but most of it was top notch. The shots they used weren't as creative as last week, but I thought they did use a few really nice angles.

But hey, that's just my opinion, and I'm often alone in my opinion on a lot of things Haruhi. :P

Anyway, what I find most unpleasant about this whole Endless Eight thing is the negativity on this forum. In my memory, AnimeSuki has never been this negative. It's tough finding stuff to read around here. It's understandable, of course. I've contributed to the negativity myself.

Again, opinion, etc.
I mentioned this on the relaunch thread, but one should be grateful for the mildness of anime enthusiast when he feels he has been slighted or tricked. I once worked in an amusement park where I was one of the few Americans, and this was during the World Cup. I already mentioned one encounter, and from that and what I learned from my roommates, there are soccer enthusiasts in this world who make the most hardcore of otaku look rather blase about their interests. As in, if otaku were like certain soccer fans, they wouldn't bother posting pictures of smashed collectibles on 2ch or complaining on their blogs, they'd just go down to Kyoani and beat the animators within an inch of their lives.

A chunk of the episode was spent mostly on the 4 at the park in night time.
