This one is goofy as hell, but still not as goofy as a giant chicken. Although Askin probably still has at least one more form where he will be a duck billed platypus or something.

There's no problem with Yoruichi having a catgirl form. Don't forget that she actually was a cat the first time we saw her. It's not that unexpected. Also fanservice. Having an ideal ability to get around Askin's Reiatsu immunity? Not so well written. And of course everyone expected Askin to survive. After all, he wasn't even in Vollstandig form yet. Or in his case, "Hassein" form.

They're supposed to be way stronger than the regular Captains, right?

This is why I'm not too worried about how the good guys will fare with Askin. Obviously his new form will be able to overcome Yoruichi's HentaiNeko form, but either Urahara or Otouto-chan will just happen to have the perfect counter for that. I remember back when we were joking that Bleach was turning into Dragon Ball Z, but it actually seems more like Yugioh now...

And of course, because Urahara is as much a lover of the Xanatos Gambit as Aizen is, it's even more like Yugioh. Expect Urahara to even have a line similar to "You've just activated my trap card!" in the next few chapters.

Eh, they could have just gone with the "you won't have a minute to use your ability" instead of the extremely specific "48 changes per second" thing, it would've had the same effect with a lot less BS.

Askin can definitely take a punch though, he's been through a shitload of attacks so far and hasn't really had any time to recover from them. As for Urahara, I'm still expecting his powers to revolve around blood magic - it's the easiest way to get rid of Askin :P

But said enemy wasn’t using his full power, so now he’s even stronger the enver. How unfortunate…
