Ugh... Why Bioware? I actually had alittle faith in you.
Excuse me for being a self-centered gamer. But I loath MMOs.

I seriously don't know whether to celebrate or be in despair. On one hand, I absolutely love Star Wars. On the other, MMOs ruin my life. I have no control I tell you! No control!

Sigh... Ready to grind~

As much as I'd love a KOTOR 3, I'm very excited to see what Bioware does with this venture, as it could be pretty awesome.

I am not so sure, EA now owns Bioware. And you know how EA kills companies they buy This may be the beginning of the end for Bioware if this game doesn't work.

Mystic has done fine so far with their involvement with EA. Tho EA has killed many games in the past, i think all they do now is give more resources to these companies and let them make those Grade A games and sit back and watch the money roll in :P

Aside from that How much worst could this be then Star Wars Galaxies?

When I got to the part where they mention that everybody can be jedi OR ANOTHER STAR WARS CLASS,
I sighed and closed the window.

This happened when I was reading a newsletter.

Well... I'm quite curious about that game.

Taken EA aside, I want to see how Bioware will handle a MMO.

From the ideas it doesn't sound bad and Bioware has proven to be able to deliver some great storylines.

Well... wait and see.

Actually this IS KOTOR3. Think some time back BioWare said KOTOR3 would be a MMO.

I was originally excited about SWG, yeah... we know how that turned out. This game might have some promise, Bioware does some pretty good games so I have a little hope. A fools hope perhaps.

As for classes and balance and stuff I don't care too much that there will be Jedi/Sith in abundance, they just need to balance it all. That's mostly what an MMO is, a balancing act (and time sinks, disguised or not). So jedi and Sith will probably get some cool moves and stuff, but they'll be limited by cooldowns or 'force power', they won't be out 'owning' like many will be expecting.

I was hoping for a KOTOR 3, but I guess this works too. I doubt it will pull me away from WoW though but it could be a fun diversion like LOTRO.

If this is KOTOR 3 then Bioware have ruined a perfectly good single player rpg series.

The only reason why KOTOR 1+2 had reasonably good storyline is because they are set during the Sith uprising. This MMO however is set 50 years after the Sith uprisin, I can't see how there can be a good storyline for this, still I suppose this is better than playing any of that WoW garbage.

Well... it's a pretty similiar setting to the Jedi Civil War from the first KOTOR with Republic and Sith Empire as the two main forces, so it is not really something new story wise.
