I have these figures here and was wondering where I could find the rest of the set. please someone help me if you can

Well, it's the same difference in detail you see in 720p/1080p fansubs for HD-produced shows. With everything being produced digitally, the extra detail is definitely there. And the other way to look at it is that, given the prices you're typically paying for Japanese releases anyway, you want to get the best possible quality. The higher bitrate combined with the higher resolution gives you what should be a near-definitive copy of the work. So I don't think the advantages are any more or less for animation than anything else; if it was produced in HD, it will look better in its native resolution, rather than taking a scaled down version and blowing it back up to full-screen.

Though thinking about it myself, With the amount of storage they have you could probably get more episodes on a disc, maybe even the whole series in some cases

Okay, I don't speak Japanese so I could be completely off base, but from what I'm reading on this item page, it sounds like there will be an anime original episode include with the first haruhi season 2 dvd.

And on top of that its pretty cheap for two episodes!

Nah, the CD Japan translation is incomplete. It's the first episode of a bonus feature which may or may not even be animated; we'll see. But, given that it's Episode 1, it does imply that there'll be another bonus DVD with a future volume. So, it's one actual episode, but a DVD with a bunch of bonus features.

She's a little taller than 7 inches.

Haruhi is 158cm tall (according to the height chart). That's a little over 62 inches. If it's a 1/8th scale figure, that'd put it at about 7 and three quarters.

My math is clearly wrong, though.

lol, you're not wrong, neither am I, but you're wrong because you're not calculating the figure's height.

I put a ruler beside my Haruhi Extravaganza figure to get 7 inches. The reason she's not 8 inches is because her pose has her feet apart and this makes the figure 7 inches tall.

Yea its an awesome figure, great hair and expression, very detailed clothing as well.

I'm not sure if there will be stock or restock around x-mas though.

Hmmmm, 7 inches you say? I may or may not be getting one then in very near future. An you can find a few floating around the internet(on reliable palces) that will have it instock pre-xmas rush. One ima get will prob cost like $100, but gotta pay for what ya love i guess lol
