I don't know if I agree with that interpretation. It's hardly unusual in anime for a guy to get pummeled because he saw something he shouldn't, even if it wasn't his fault. I think Hitoha was mad at both of them, but getting mad at Futaba for doing something stupid is like getting mad at a fish for swimming...

So let's see if I got this straight: instead of Shin-chan saying "Don't do that!" which would have been very simple and to the point that even an idiot like Futaba would get it, plus it would have the added benefit of not raising the dark ire of Hitoha, the first thing that comes to his mind is to yell out that Hitoha isn't wearing any panties?

And then right after that scene, Futaba goes searching through the underwear drawer and takes out several pairs of panties, which were NOT for Hitoha to wear but for Shin-chan to choose from?

Nope, something must be very off.

Yup!. Its just that hitoha does seem like the type of person to go commando. And im sure if shinriya did see that he would have been in a pool of his own blood.

The guy could barely keep it together looking at panties.

Anyway, I hope they show what happened to their mother later down the line. My guess is that she died and their father got depressed and started putting on the weight.

Some more than others, though. And Futaba is pretty much immune, perhaps because she lacks the brainpower to actually understand if something bad were to happen to her.

As for the whole 'Hitoha not wearing panties' thing: if she wasn't, Shin would probably be dead if he had looked. Not so much by the hands of Hitoha, but from the shock of actually seeing her bare crotch (given as how looking at the girls' underwear makes him quite uncomfortable).

Too bad that no fansub group is doing this show yet. Maybe that scene would've been better worded then.

Midonin Last Engage Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Florida	Spoiler for Marui-ke Okawari 04 - And I Know That My Heart Will Go On: Beach Episode Week Part II: The bookends of watertime fun this week were both pretty entertaining, with Mitsuba's brief camaraderie with Team Sugisaki dissolving in an instant. The second segment was probably my favorite this week, with the ever escalating scope of the ghost case. Miku, you really need to discover cloud computing. Those pictures can continue to exist no matter how many laptops are sacrificed to the flame. The festival and uneven bar segments were also nice, but the final segment...that was unexpected. From Futaba going up the water slide the wrong way to the classy ending. Mitsudomoe is the last show you'd expect to use that kind of music, and Hitoha, of course, does not approve of her death, no matter how many stained glass windows the show pumps out. It's like when the show used Blue Danube last autumn. Totally unexpected, and yet awesome.

Spoiler for Mitsudomoe episode 4: The humor just felt a little flat this week, although I still enjoyed all the skits. Highlights: - In the first skit at the pool, Mitsuba actually "won" for once. Is this the first time that's happened? I'm so used to seeing Mitsuba getting the short end of the stick and being humiliated that seeing her essentially triumphing over Sugisaki is a surprise. - I love the interaction between Mitsuba and Sugisaki. Up to this point I thought it was nothing more than Sugisaki desperately wanting to be friends with Mitsuba, but not being to able to admit it (to herself or others). The second skit took her interest in Mitsuba to another level though. I knew she'd been taking pictures of Mitsuba, but not to that extent. - Third skit: all I can say is Futaba is absolutely cold-blooded. Crawfish bait. Remember her wanting to skin frogs? - Forth skit: Chiba, I love ya man. "I just want to see the look of shame on their faces. Harassing girls is a boy's sacred duty." That and "gorilla eyebrows". - Final skit: Mitsuba eating a corn dog at the pool. And poor Hitoha can't float at all. The ending was nice, but the Blue Danube from the first season was much funnier.
