Just read chapter 135 - certainly put a smile of my face.

At the end it says the next chapter is the "grand finale", though doesn't specifically say it's the last chapter.

I'm reading pretty much everywhere that the series will end on October 10th.

Source can be found here.

Last chapter is out. Looks like there'll be a bangaihen out in issue 24 on 12/10.

So much stuff got wrapped up, I got dizzy. @_@

It's completed way too soon. Even with the open ending it is still one of the best manga's out there definitly in my top 5.

I'm going to cry in corner now. ;_____;

I feel rather similar - I get the feeling the author forced herself to end it sooner than planned. Maybe she can't work on it full time anymore, what with her baby and all.

On the other hand, we'll have some "side stories" starting in December, and probably released intermittently.

Yeah am hoping the side stories will make the ending more complete.

What's with the lack of people discussing this epic series.

the end seems rushed. So suddenly Nodame is (again) in love with Chiaki, and they're back together? I can so foresee the breakup to happen again, what with Nodame's whimsical personality.

Nodame was never out of love. The problem she faced had more to with her performance issue's.

Just read the last chapter. It really seems to had been finish too fast. IS the author planning on making something else of the manga?

The bangaihen, Nodame Cantabile Encore: Opera, is currently running. The third chapter will be out this weekend. (btw, parts of the first two chapters are absolutely hilarious ^^ )

edit: strike that...third chapter has been delayed til the 25th.

Man I need to reread the whole thing, I'm a bit lost in Encore.

That was his little cousin trying out for the singer part right?

They're full length chapters, and the third one was released this week. Word is that they'll take up a whole extra volume.

You don't need to reread too much (I didn't). Just wait for the next chapter. If you absolutely can't, I can post a summary.

Actually, the reader has never met her before. The next chapter will tell you who she is, if you can wait for it
