I thought Natsu would be the first to appear to save Lucy after Hades' Alegria got release didn't anticipate Gajeel would show up first.

Honestly, while I was expecting the Spirit King to lose...having him lose because Lucy ran out of power is somehow fine by me...

Didn't he win, though? I mean, he protected Lucy, froze Lord Asshat (or petrified him, whatever), and freed Fairy Tail.

^ Pretty much, yeah. You wouldn't expecta champion of light to use such a petty trick as petrification, but...I guess it works best.

After this chapter, I'm getting the impression that Urano Metria is a "manaburn" kind of spell with a minimum requirement to use.

So no matter how much power Lucy's got stored up, it zeroes her out. But you wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that.

The spirit king didn't defeat his opponent but he did gain a victory in a way. I also doubt things will be as simple as Sliver is Gray's father. There will defiantly be some sort of twist.

Anyone thinks this arc is going to be post pone? Mard Geer might be seal for a couple of arc's instead of now. Might be a good decision on Hiro part... I can't see him getting knock down by Natsu and feeling totally satisfied by it!

it's was more because lucy focused all her power in the uranometria and being drained by celesltial spirit also dont help too much, then she fall with the big use of magic.

that was a good chapter could be better if mashima let lucy and spirit king shine a little more(one more chapter) for me was a 9/10

But really, i dont think that it will go that simple, maybe he is a gray from the future who came back in that giant door from the previous arc to try to save ultear from Deliora but could not do it and at the end he ended trapped there or some shit like that, but if it ends like what almost everyone thought, mashima will have to put some really good plot to justify why he left gray alone

Ya, i guess its a satisfying enough conclusion all things considered. Heck prettifying the guy was a step more than I would have pessimistically expected.
