dunno why... but i decided to color something today and this looked good so i colored it.... and since it's already been done in those colors, i stuck with them.

Hmmm the original is indeed more muffier.
I like my drawings sharp and edged. the ribs do make her look annorexic, but oh well, she kinda is anyway, at least I don't know anybody who is this slim anyway . Fenrihr's second coloring is different, not just the colors, but the lines aren't cleaned and just darkened a little. That gives it a scetchy and handmade effect, which I like a lot. how do you color a pure scetch so well? Are there tools for that? I have either Photoshop and Paintshop Pro... Afterall I'm just a noob at anime and CG I need to figure out a lot. So,, it it bad to have sharp lines? If people like feathery art better I'll do just that, At least I should try it. And yeah Shinobu is a tad young in the show, but remember, it's just a cartoon, not a real human so don't get any wrong ideas See it this way. in 1999 when Shinobu appeared in Love Hina she was 14... So if you think it this way she's way over 18 now... there, happy? :P Anyway, I asked Calavera Spain for a sexy looking Shinobu,.... so i got one O.o But I never expected her to be this sexy . great job. |

if you're coloring in PS, put the sketch on the upper-most layer, then set that layer to multiply, then color under it..... peppstar has a good pic of what that looks like somewhere, but i'm too lazy to find it.
hehe, only reason i used the unchanged sketch is cause i'm too lazy to redraw it... honest! anycase good job, and calavera... nice sketch, you do great work. (since you wanted crits, i'd say the neck looks a bit too thin. almost looks like a bobble-head doll) and it seems that it depends on what kind of picture it is, as to whether or not the line art should be sharp. action usually looks better sharp, but there is a few occasions where it looks better soft, sexy-type poses are usually better soft. etc. etc. |
