edit: OK, so the image is the Saint October characters cosplaying as Rozen Maiden. It's not a new subpar intepretation (thank goodness).

Unless it is a hoax, then it could be another universe story like Mai Otome v Mai Hime

But if it isn't a hoax how could they give the Shinku variant chuks? They are the most inelegant weapon around, well apart from the really big baseball bat club thing. Anyone who has messed around with them before should be able to confirm that it is impossible to use them with pig tails!

No, is not Rozen Maiden Season 3, no news nothing to confirm that. There is bound to be Season 3. Just that, you will have to wait.

I think you shall wait for Peach Pit giving some new elements about Rozen before wishing for a season 3. There's no way for the anime writers to think about something like this by themselves.
I fear that we won't have anything before next winter.

Not a dumb question, but a question I ask myself each time I wake up each morning... At least we all got a quick fix with the OAV, now for us all to watch it a few dozen times and discuss it (nicely) in minute detail until we get more news about S3 (and Hina's revival!)

Oh if I misunderstood you and you were asking if the image of Saint October is S3, then no its not. It's a chopped piccie from the Saint October website (quite well done too)

Even though 80% of ~Traumend~ wasn't drawn from the manga at all? Or anything from Ouverture? I'm sure the writers they have on hand are more than capable of coming up with a S3 on their own, but the production team (judging by the way S2 was ended) seems to want to keep some parallel with the manga.

Winter animes are usually 12/13 episodes. I agree that next winter would be a valid release date for S3, but rumors would begin flying in April or so...

Query: does anyone know of a better quality raw than S^M's?

I watched this last night. An excellent dive into the past for Shinku and Suigintou, revealing some heavy and dramatic backstory. Now that I have seen this, I have come to respect Shinku and Suigintou even more. They almost remind me of Kira and Athrun of Gundam SEED, heh

Those two could get along so well as friends if they weren't going at each other.
