Completed Light Novel series that you've enjoyed

Hi,

I've gotten myself into the world of light novels quite recently, reading Spice and Wolf and Haruhi series.

I was wondering what series that you've guys enjoyed that have been completed and possibly licensed?

I know I could read the fan translated ones off a website, but I like the texture and just reading off a book rather than being on my computer =)

I wish they'd get the other books for Spice and Haruhi out faster onto the English market =_=; or maybe I'm being too impatient.

you should only be able to read fan-translated ones if there are not licensed. and that's precisely the reason why there are fans translating it.

there are too many LNs I'm reading now that have not ended. only 1 that's on my list that has ended will be Toradora, and I pretty like the drama in it. FMP has ended but only on my to-read list.

And yeah, perhaps you are [being impatient]. From my experience light novels take a considerable amount of time to translate and two releases every year is already quite fast (compare the Zaregoto novels, with a two year wait between volume 1 and volume 2. Oh, and it's 9 volumes. I don't think I've seen something dragged out that long since DBZ. ). Shakugan no Shana LN 3 WHERE Viz?!

*Ballad of a Shinigami is pretty much my favorite light novel ever. It's sort of like Cardcaptor Sakura+Hell Girl and as crude as that description sounds, it works wonders for this title.

Completed..... That's a hard question since most of the LN series I've read is still ongoing ><. I guess.... the only complete LN I've read so far is FMP so let's say that one is my favorite at the moment.

The ongoing one on the other hand.... To aru majutsu no index is still interesting after 23 volume of story and Nishioishin Monogatari series has it's own crowning moment on some volume(especially Kizumonogatari). Baka to Tesuto to Shoukanjuu is such a light-hearted read that I can read before sleeping or when I'm stressed out.

I can rant and rant, but since there's a LN recommendation thread where I should be ranting instead, I'll stop here XD.

The only one I can recommend that is finished would be Blood+.

The 12 Kingdoms is also a fun read but it isn't completed yet. (one volume a year).

To bad they cancelled two of my favorite series, Boogiepop(out 4 volumes) and Zaregoto(out 2 volumes)

For B-T, I suppose only Toradora can be considered 'completed', unless you count the SS.

Not really an avid reader here, in fact, most of the LNs I've read are the ones I'm working on.

Maybe I might pick up 2 or more to read while I slack through my Army life.

So does anyone know any other LNs that are being translated commercially?
I see Shakugan no Shana, Spice and Wolf, Haruhi, 12 Kingdoms, Toradora(?)?

Are there anymore?

Vampire Hunter D - I recommend this series, a very good one, but only for older readers.

Shakugan no Shana has been discontinued.

Two volumes have been released before it was discontinued.

D:

I thought Shakugan No Shana was pretty popular seeing as there were two animated seasons that came out.
Any particular reason?
I'm looking on wiki but can't seem to find a particular reason =/
