Your top picks for spring series?

Not just taking into account the series we've seen promos for to date (about 8 so far I believe), which ones do you think will be winners for the spring run? Personally, so far there's only been one I haven't liked, and that was Studio 4°C. Other than that, the rest look freaking awesome. I'm especially waiting on Kono Miniku mo Utsukushii Sekai (This Ugly and Beautiful World) and Midori no Hibi. Bakuretsu Tenshi (Explosive Angels ) also looks promising, but I'm withholding judgement until I see at least a couple episodes. Are there any you guys think will be top runners for this spring season?

Winter's been kind of a disappointing season. I hope spring kicks butt.

Looking out for:

-Maria-sama season 2 :P
-KonoMimi (not as much now though, after I saw the trailer... :\)
-Melody of Oblivion (just guessing)
-Samurai Champloo (looks cool)
-Midori no Hibi (not that interested but I'll just check)

Edit: Lord Raiden, it's Neko-sensei... neko-sensai == Your Late Wife Cat :P or neko-incompetence or neko-wardamage... *nitpick*

Interestingly I think this post is labeled 133337 in the url...

For now, I bet my bucks in:
-Bakuratsu Tenshi...girls and mecha mix really make me insane...(mainly the girl with cowboy hat- Meg, I think)
-I'm anxious waiting Marimite 2nd Season too....here it is a serie that surprised me for the overall quality...
-And for 3rd choice- Initial D 4th Stage

I'm looking forward to Madlax. I hope its another Noir as oppose to another Avenger.

Also, since I haven't been watching maria-sama yet (waiting for the seires to finish) I'm a little confused about one thing. Why do they have a season 2? If it's going to air this spring, isn't it just a continuation?

What show was Studio 4c doing? Anyway, everybody is bashing this season but there are quite a few shows I've liked. Yumeria, Jubei-chan 2, Paranoia Agent, and GITS 2nd GIG. I liked Diamond Dust drops but I put it a step below the other ones I've already mentioned. I think one reason why people bash this season is that the bad shows are really, really bad relative to other seasons.

So far the only preivew I liked was Midori no Hibi. I wonder how quality will be once HD protection kicks in this april.

I'm most looking forward to Initial d 4th stage. It's my second favorite anime, so more is always welcome. Beyond that, I'm also looking foward to this ugly and beautiful world, since I've never seen a gainax series I hated.

Does there have to be another reason beyond that?

going for Madlax, as long as it didn't become more and more confusing like Noir, Kiddy Grade or Avenger
useless hoping perhaps

another, maybe Boukyaku no Senritsu, Godannar and Midori no Hibi
and Mars Daybreakers

about MariMite season 2, is it really this spring ? but haven't heard any announcement, April is just half month away now.

Kono Minikuku Mo Utsukushii Sekai - GAINAX makes always good shows, ne?
Hanaukyo Maids La Verite - enjoyed first series, waiting for second.
Bakuretsu Tenshi - Gonzo does also good stuff...
Le Portrait de Petit Cossette (OAV) - Looks good and music (by Yuki Kajiura) sounds excellent.
MADLAX - Same team made Noir and .hack//SIGN so that alone makes me waiting this.

I liked to pick up many series so at least few of them proves to be good.

I watched a couple of promos and Bakuretsu Tenshi looks very promising. In fact since gonzo is doing it and it looks to have very flashy mecha battles with chicks I'm going to say that this series will be the most popular fansub of the season. That is non liscensed of course.

Samurai Champloo + Shinichiro Watanabe = greater then everything else coming out but its liscensed already.

Initial D 4th stage will also be really popular but its already liscensed as well (pretty sure anyways). People will still fansub it though along with Samurai Champloo I bet.

The above two are winners already, nuff said.

Samurai 7 also looks interesting, thought I read somewhere it was liscensed already though? can anyone confirm this?

I forgot! Le Portrait de Petit Cossette OVA - I'm looking out for that one too. It piqued my interest.

As for Samurai 7, I don't know that much about it. I have no clue as to whether it's pre-licensed or not but it's by Gonzo, and it's an anime version of Shichinin no Samurai (Seven Samurai) by Akira Kurosawa,... I've watched a trailer sort of thing for it courtesy of microlith, and well, it's flashy like Gonzo is...

with mechas.

You heard that right, mechas in Samurai 7.

You heard that right, mechas in Samurai 7.

Mechas in feudal Japan? Is it suddenly set in the future or something? Anyway: Urgh.

I'm looking forward to:

Gantz
Samurai Champloo
Midori no Hibi
Tenjo Tenge

Koi Kaze - the art style looks wonderful.
Sensei no Ojikan - By the same people who did Bottle Fairy.
Pugyuru - This image has piqued my curiousity.
Panda Z - Just to confirm that I'm a little off in the head...

I'll probably watch the first few episodes of all the new series,
but these are the ones I'll probably end up watching.
