I've liked and been listening to The Offspring for a long time now. I think I first started listening to them in '94.

Anyways, my favorite song by them was not on the poll list. My favorite song is Come Out and Play.

Well, I voted The Kids Aren't Alright even though it was a close match with Pretty Fly for a White Guy (obviously, right?). I guess I chose it because it's not really a fun jokesong that just happens to be catchy.

As for actually discussing the band, I really only started listening to them a couple of years ago because I heard from a friend that they were similar to some of the older punk bands (The Clash, Ramones, Buzzcocks, Sex Pistols, etc.) They really weren't alike at all, but I still thought some of their songs were catchy, and it went from there.
Back when I was an avid drummer, I learned a couple of their songs too, but I'm pretty sure I've forgotten all of them.

They got some good tracks in their albums but my fav by far is the first track i heared from them 'Damnit i Changed Again'. 'The Kids aren't alight' is also one of my favs.

Maybe it's because it's one of their first songs to be know well which made the band famous abroad and a popular song internationally. Sure they do have other great songs but nothing beats a song about mocking a wannabe idiot trying to be a gangsta.
