Based on the DVD/BR sale thread, Yuruyuri sold almost 10k copy for the 1st volume. Which is really good, considering similar comedy/ slice of life show (A-Channel, Nichijou...) barely passed 4k mark...

I say, the sale should have reached 20k if only we have an onscreen Kyouko x Yui kiss ^^

Personally I think the couple everyone loves would getting a kiss have gotten it to sell more, SakuHima of course

Just imagine the sales if this had happened[with proper build up]:

One of the more enjoyable anime shows from last season. And, the chart is absolutely hilarious but in a way it actually fits. Lol

I do think Akari has Stockholm syndrome after what Chinatsu did to her (and Chitose too). Poor Akari. XD

Well, like I've said earlier in this thread somewhere -- this series did suck for the most part. Only thing that kept me watching -- the antics, particularly that of Kyouko's. Having an amusing opening/ending theme helped too. Otherwise, I would have dropped this series faster than Nichijou (of which I only watched one episode, and then dropped).

The characters weren't stale. They were all nuts. I suppose: that's my type of crazy.

Well, isn't that the main part of the show; their antics?

Regardless, I would undoubtedly agree that Kyouko was the coolest character, and I think I can safely say that this is not an unpopular opinion. What really makes the show work for me is the chemistry between the characters, and though Kyouko does the brunt of the work, the rest of the cast is brilliant too.

Nothing planned as far as I know, else they would've announced it by now (though they usually do that when the show is still on TV).

*Looks at coupling chart* Yeah, I'd say that's pretty accurate chart and awesome to have. Having things like that are good for putting the important stuff into perspective.

In any case, I will go on record as to say Yuru Yuri was my favorite Summer 2011 series. At least in terms of one cour Summer series anyway. Multi-cour ones sort of have the advantage of more chances to impress...
