great chapter as always--more on the comedic side, though. Quite an enjoyable interaction between the two females and what a surprise towards the end, if you know what I mean

is it only me who just noticed the school uniforms bearing a strong resemblance to ARIA's design. And me was hoping for mini skirts

I'm not sure if this chapter was supposed to be emotional, but it sure made me feel very nostalgic. I can't believe I will ever say this: "I wanna go back to school;" even though I was one of those who wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. Oh doing those introductions brings back a lot of memories. Teachers will make you do introductions every year even though most of us knew each other. Unfortunately, I was one of those who will be freaking out a bit when it was about time to talk to the whole class--long hair character, I know how you felt! Yeah, my class was very small and it continued to be the same for all my years of high school. Some people left; some new faces showing up every now and then, but it remained almost the same. Oh, those were good days!

Kozue Amano's got them drawn in really weird poses at times, and the girls' school uniforms seem to have that same effect the Undine uniforms had where your eyes are kinda drawn down to the hips.

As for the new chapter...
The mystery gal from the first chapter is finally given a name, and another one from Hikari herself. I can kinda relate to the little ball of energy - whenever I meet someone I tend to think up a nickname or a way to shorten their name so it rolls off the tongue. Sometimes without permission :V
Katori-sensei seems fun. I'll enjoy seeing how she'll put up with Hikari's usual nonsense for he next year. Also, young teacher = pretty damn attractive.
And, of course, another unusual animal to deal with.

So, the theme of the manga is:


As excited as I am with the prospect, I hope Kozue Amano takes some risks with this manga. The teacher DOES guarantee "good and bad memorable experiences", so maybe a couple of tales about the bad. And no, not the usual embarrassing high school moments :V I'd like the mangaka to take a stab at some SERIOUS BUSINESS.

I'm guessing Amanchu! will probably end with them graduating. Hahaha, probably a lot of you are put off by the prospect of an ending - especially so early in the series - but I only brought it up since KA said by the second chapter she had an idea of how Aria should end.

the whistle is funny. especially when it was her turn to speak and she just kept blowing it. i thought it was cute how there was such a strong contrast between Hikari and Ooki.

somehow, their names don't flow as well as Aria's... plus, if this is a monthly publication, its going to be slowwwwwwwwwww

There's a big difference between the scanlations. So which one is the better one? Ossu or Amano centric scans. Me being the japanese nub that I am, I wouldn't know what's better. :O

This manga is awesome btw. Already liking it more then aria and that says a lot in my case. o.o

I wasn't aware that Ossu was scanlating this as well. Ossu definitely has more manpower behind it, but it seems they are working along the same lines as ACS:
Japanese -> Chinese -> English.
I usually shoot for ACS because their members are easy to come by and they get it to us faster. Plus, they release on TT and re-release a higher quality set of scans when they get them.
