This seems to be the problem with all these school + harem light novels that are getting adaptations recently. They have some ridiculous premise as their 'gimmick', but it pretty much gets forgotten past the first couple of chapters and turns into your standard harem/rom-com.

I didn't like much the manga's beginning, that's why first option is more appealing to me even though the second option looked unusual but not really my cup of tea unless the drag was actually beautifully-drawn (bishounen style) so I can take both like Midorin, but at this moment I still take the first option.

Actually, my post was referring to this other LN-based anime that was announced, and the similar premises. I'm looking forward to comparing them both, depending on how close together they air.

That one is actually really good from what they've released of the manga. It actually does the opposite of what I said I find annoying with LN adaptations. Instead of forgetting about the premise it's actually developing the 'gimmick' into a serious plot thread and opens up a world of potential to where the story will develop. It's also absolutely hilarious and is quite aware of the standard tropes of the genre and makes some pretty clever jokes out of them.

I think that I read that the choice "to fall" was implied to be from a 4 store building or something. I would have still wanted him to pick 2 btw (based on a deduction that he might have hurt someone by dropping them from that very same height, like his choice implied).

No, I agree that the premise is generic for storytelling, but personally if that happened to me, I would choose option 1 myself.

It's been hinted by my Japanese speaking friends that there's a childhood friend on board. Not too hopeful since I've been told they only have a relatively minor role, but show still is on my radar.

2.) sold as much as OreShura's 1st 2 volumes,
I might give it a shot.
It kind of look hilarious at first glance and I'll be in for that regardless of the plot, but I wonder how fast the "fixed choices" jokes will get old and how long the author can hold the comedy.

Guess I need to do some research or someone could provide me with some

I think it would be interesting if it went along with all VN consenquences (means if certain choices leaded to Bad Ends ect.)

Anyway I will give a shot. Unlike my "youth" days I am droping bad and mediocre shows a lot so add one or two on list is no problem for me.

Just noticed this today. The whole option-selecting ability sounds pretty funny, but I would've preferred to see what would've happened if option #2 was selected

Either way, I'll wait for more updates to see if this is my kinda show.

Well, I'll see one episode, if it's not bad, if it's really bad, I normally stop at five minutes (bad animation, voice acting)

But it'll probably end being the normal otaku oriented harem.

I don't have anything against harem, like Hayate no gotoku or Seitokai no Ichizon, but this one just sounds bad...

I just doesn't understand that (no matter if it's harem or not) that the premise is bad as complained my most people I've come across on ANN, I find it actually very promising, the "quizz-like" mental abilities might be interesting, the artwork is very faithful to the LN's artworks, and I added to my watchlist. Given the director, I seriously hope it's good since I heard he directed a lot of adaptations that turns out to be less than spectacular.

It all depends on how much the author is willing to explore the potential of that ability to the fullest instead of letting it be a cheap plot device for stupid generic fanservice harem scenarios.

Then again, that ability still sounds quite stupid considering the possible application as it will just resort to DEM most of the times it seems.
