Sports Hochi announces the brilliant green's OP theme is "Ash Like Snow" (on sale February 6) and Stephanie's ED theme is "Friends" (on sale January 30). This will be the first time the brilliant green has done an anime theme song.

Other interesting notes from that Mizushima Interview:

1. 00 was a project that starts with the mechs being the main focus.
2. They also has plans to make it into a historical drama.
3. The events of 911 was taken into consideration and thus turn the spotlight onto the topic on "effects of war on the world"
4. Mizushima only watched 0079, 0083 and Turn A before. He wanted to do a continuation of the UC timeline, but was shot down and thus the AD Timeline.
5. If everyone had noticed, all the protagonists suddenly turn silent of late. If they had caught themselves in a sticky suitation, their survival instinct will the main point of view.
6. There was talk of romance in the production stage, but after being bog down by other parts of the scenarior, that aspect was left on the cutting room's floor. So don't expect any.
7. The combination of Isaku Okabe (A Military Critic) Tomohiro Chiba (Good Friend Of Kuroda) and Kenji Teraoka (A Realist Animator) had some stunning results on the script. But almost 90% of the parts arn't finalised for animation due to a variety of factors.
8. The OP animations has hidden a lot of hints about what's coming from the start.
9. As to why Kuroda was picked as the screenplay writter, it's because of people's recommendation. However, confilct between Mizushima and him later. So what Mizushima revealed is that Kuroda is solely responsible for the Screenplay for the first quater to half of the series.
10. Mizushima consider himself as more of a hands-on director. As in instead of being a director who solely follows a script that is written, he's open to changing it later on based on the suitation.

Maybe not in the first season...who knows. But the way I see it, there might be some diluted romance to behold, like Saji's and the possible Setsuna-Marina ship, but neither of those will be the focus of the show. Rather, it'll only be how will their mutual interactions affect their decisions...especially if there's a doomed romance as one of them is possibly fated to die.

Umm... Pairings are not romance. Puppy love relationships are not romance. A loser trying to pass off as a boyfriend is not romance.

So no, there is no romance so far, the opening does not really hint at romance (though it hints some form of relationship between Setsuna and Marina, it is not necessarily romance).

And Kuroda being ousted as sole scriptwriter after the first quarter/half = VERY GOOD SIGN FOR THE FUTURE. It also explains why there's simply something funny with how the script is relative to the direction as of late. Looking forward to what happens after that.

刹那は自分の想いや行動が結果に繋がらず、その悔しさをかみ締めていた
引き続き第三勢力の存在の可能性を含め、調査を続ける刹那
やがて施設を破壊する際にモビルスーツの反応を見つけた刹那は、そこで同じように調査で動いて いた
ユニオンの軍人たちと出会ってしまう
その中には、かつて戦場で剣を交えたグラハムもいた

Found this from 2ch. I have no idea if it is the real deal. Apparently episode 11 is about Allelujah confirming that the superhuman project is still on-going and hopes to destroy it. Episode 12 involves the conflict between 2 factions within Azadistan turning worse and Setsuna is sent to investigate. Episode 13, Union sends its forces to stop the in-fighting of Azadistan , and Setsuna meets Graham...

What you said is broadly correct, that alleged spoiler also talks about Allelujah wanting Sumeragi to permit an attack on the superhuman facility, the long haired UN dude visiting Azadistan (ep 11), the middle eastern queen caught between two factions of her country (ep 12), and Setsuna crosses swords with Graham (ep 13).

Usually spoilers are very sparse and not detailed at all. So I'd put a big question mark on these, even though they sound plausible.
