So you meant to tell me that the North Koreans are planning to bomb Japan if there is no Rozen Maiden this year?

If they don't, it looks like someone in this thread will.

So what can we expect from Ouverture? If we're going to get a lot of Suigintou, are we going to see the wartime conflict between her and Shinku? Will we really, as hinted in that article, see Sui and Sou before one became Kadzuki and the other became DESU? Will we see Kanaria and Hinaichigo being friends in times gone by?

TV Asahi's Top 100 Anime poll came out...

#9 Rozen Maiden

... Still no one is even looking to license it. The only other anime in the top 10 that wasn't licensed was The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, which I also don't understand remaining unlicensed.

I just read the lyrics for the first season's opening...wow. wtf?! where the heck did that come from?! I mean, are that many people in japan into that kind of thing? Even so, what does it have to do with rozen maiden? Other than Nori there are no sex references whatsoever!

It had something to do with faithfulness, devotion and servitude, I guess. Kinda fits the theme where Jun becomes a.....slave to Shinku so to speak.

"Putting on a collar of roses, holding a silver chain in your mouth I detest you, for again you have climaxed alone. Down on your knees, lick the bitter drops of love" ok do I even need to go further!?

I think I'm starting to see a pattern of cleverly disguised references... For example:

Suigintou to Suiseiseki: "To fall to these [Souseiseki's] scissors... that would be your dream come true, wouldn't it?" ummm... how exactly am I sopposed to take that? Suiseiseki doesn't make any rebuttal so there must be some truth to it.

In the scene where Tomoe gives Jun her notes and the homework that he has to do, there's a weird beeping noise. Jun then leans over the desk and says "don't look" what exactly was he embarrased about? He was only doing his homework...

Sounds like unfaithfulness to me. Something that would had warranted a shin-kick + slap + punch + uppercut from Shinku.

Correction! It's Hair Lashing!

Hmmm....that part of the lyric sounds like Jun's going to become a masochist and Shinku's becoming a sadist.
