I've watched the whole series, all the first 167 episodes, and I still was never sure what Sess (lazy to type full name) thought of Rin, but I think this episode finally sets in stone what everyone suspected he thought of Rin

Episode 9 was a very touching episode. Yes it's great to see him do almost a complete 180.

Definitely like the changes in Sesshomaru(it took me a while to remember how to spell it so I'm always using the full version )over the course of the show. But also nice that he hasn't lost the attitude and what makes him Sesshomaru. Just subtle changes that really stand out when looking at the start of the show. Still quite the traveling group he's put together. Maybe it's part of his personality, but everyone is just so much shorter than him .

Poor Jaken though. Years of service and yet not treated as well as Rin .

I just watched episode 10, and it has a new ending song. It's called Diamond by alan. I think it's alright, but I prefer season one's ending songs better.

Not that I have anything against him, but I think Sesshomaru should dump Kohaku somewhere . Everyone that kid gets near dies. Kagura....dead. Kikyou....also dead. His relatives other than Sango....dead. Not that Sesshomaru can't handle himself, but let's face it that kid has not had the best of luck with traveling companions.

Actually I found this the fastest paced episode since the first one. It was like almost 2 episodes crammed in one.

Good point. All the more reason to drop Kohaku off somewhere. His curse didn't get Rin permanently killed, but why tempt fate ?

Fiou , that was close for Rin Sesshomaru show his emo's part ! You can see the mother who care about him . Dunno for Inuyasha . I don't remember very well S1 , did she already met them ?

I just watched episode 10, and I really enjoyed it, although I would agree with Xagzan that it seemed like 2 episodes (or at least 1-1/2) squished into 1. What I enjoyed the most in this episode was...

Spoiler for Episode 10:

Kagome. I feel like we are really able to see the strength of her "spiritual power"/her arrows in this episode. I loved when she and Inuyasha were reunited, and she "woke up" and started shooting at the Flower Prince's house. "None of the pain I feel now will be consumed by you!" ... And was it just me, or did Inuyasha look a little surprised? :-)

Now I have a question for people who've read the manga...

Spoiler for Manga-related (something which I don't think has been addressed in the anime yet):

At what point in the manga did Kagome discover that she could shoot "through" things? Have we already passed through that in the anime? It doesn't seemed to have been addressed directly (unless it was in the first Inuyasha series), although it does seem like she has been shooting "through" things. Does anyone remember?

I just checked, it was volume 52, which hasn't been shown in the anime yet. I don't think she can shoot through things, but maybe I just haven't noticed. xD

And thinking about it, episode 10 is a weird place to start a new ending.

On the contrary, the final remaining shard in Kohaku's possession may probably be safest by Sesshomaru's side.

So what ? She's his stepmother . It's not that you aren't the real son that the stepmother doesn't like you ... As Inuyasha is Half Human Half Demon that's why i said "Dunno for Inuyasha"
