Oh wow. I was worried because I got the Slayers Light Novels along with Umineko Volume 3, so I thought I would be running back and fourth between them, referring to a dictionary every other sentence. Looks like I don't need to worry so much about doing Umineko myself, though.

Hidden files are included in that.

No you don't, but you do need to remove the Umineko2 folder from under Documents and Settings. (I assume Sterling's savegame was from after unlocking Ep 1, so it tries to show the Ep 2 title menu background, which doesn't exist in the demo.)

How will moving the folder help me?

^Exactly as Futagotachi said. The save file that the folder has is after unlocking Volume 2, so your game is trying to display something that it doesn't have.

Moving/deleting the folder will delete the part of it that is looking for the Volume 2 title screen, and it will go back to displaying the Volume 1 title screen.

I guess kind of like being sent to a hardware store with a grocery shopping list. >> <<

Either way, I'm still stuck playing through the entire first day all over again.@_@ I really hope this problem gets fixed soon.
