Now for something with less comedy. . .
Recently I've saturated myself with the following anime that I liked a lot starting with the most recent:
School Rumble (+ OAVs, Ni Gakki), still unfinished watching The Girl Who Leapt Through Time Mushi-shi Bartender Hikaru no Go Ergo Proxy Ghost Hound Yakitate! Japan I love comedy! I love thought provoking anime and supernatural seriousness! I love to delve deep into culture and history! I'm also curious as I have yet to discover more anime horror series. でも、since I'm saturated with comedy... I prefer something more serious now, but a little is always nice here and there. Yasutaka Tsutsui based movies - I've always watched two (+ Paprika) and now I'm wondering if any other adapted movies will do justice to my hunger for his stories! Hit me with your best shot! |

Kousetsu Hyaku Monogatari Horror with a little comedy
Shounen Onmiyouji Supernatural seriousness with a fair bit of comedy - it gets more serious towards the end Natsume Yuujinchou is said to give the same feeling as Mushishi You might like Spice and Wolf too, charming deity Also maybe Shinigami's Ballad about a death god who helps the living to live For movies, try the Ghibli ones, they are outstanding: Mononoke hime, Howl's moving castle, Nausicaa, Spirited away, etc. Usually a fair bit of comedy, with serious topics. |

Spirited away is a great one, Howl's moving castle is my fave movie <3
Howl's i would recomend watching first, it has a few comedy parts(onion head <3) and at the same time is quite serious and an AWSOME movie. |
