The anime's ending is extremely exhiliarating. I think it's because the ending overwhelms you with mixed emotions of both sadness and happiness, because...

The fact that everyone survives leaves you with a sigh of relief and a deep, warm and fuzzy feeling in your heart. However, it's sad to see the three of them getting separated after faithfully sticking through so many troubles together. Technically, Takuto and Mitsuki don't get separated, but it's that Takuto's memories of Mitsuki and everything they've been through, the feelings they shared, are erased just like that, and this is sad -- being near yet far. Meroko was the saddest character throughout, with her unrequited yet relentless love. It's deeply heartwarming to see that she was rewarded for her kindness and turned into an angel, but at the same time it's so sad to know that she will no longer be Mitsuki's guardian or Takuto's partner -- she will be as lonely as usual.

Takuto DID get his memories back of Mitsuki. You have to watch his face in the last scene when she runs to him. And if that isn't convincing enough, they go on a date on the Final Live Changin' My Life CD. He remembers her. But his memories of Meroko are indeed gone...for the most part.

Well, that can be quite a questionable point(putting the CD aside) from the anime. But I suppose why not?

After all, how could he forget the person that he lost his memories for and risked his life...the bond between Takuto and Mitsuki is just too strong to be broken.

I just finished watching Full Moon yesterday and I have to honestly say it is truly the best, happy/saddening, romantic, and beautiful anime I have ever seen. It even beats all the Asian dramas I've seen. Nothing like Full Moon has ever made me bawl so much. If I hadn't sucked in my tears, I'd probably have used up all the rolls of tissue papers in my house!

It just wasn't sad in terms of tragedies, but most of it was because of the nice and selfless things the characters did for one another. It was just so beautiful in that way.

But the ending was very heartening. It leaves you mixed up in many different emotions of sadness and happiness. I'm glad there was a happy ending for Mitsuki and Takuto, but I was so depressed that the two of them and Meroko would be separated. It just isn't the same without the three of them together...and the fact that Takuto partially remembers Mitsuki's voice when she called out to him but doesn't remember anything about Meroko is so sad!!! When Meroko also said goodbye and kissed Mitsuki on the cheek TOTALLY did it for me. I bursted into tears!!! It was the most emotional part of the whole anime for me. Ahh!

Gosh, I don't know how to express just how deep the ending was. Meroko was probably the most selfless character. Even though she loved Takuto, she never betrayed Mitsuki and stuck with her all the way...and even allowed Mitsuki to share her love for Takuto. Ugh. =( I'm so sad now that the 3 of them can't be together...and they can't even see Meroko. T.T

This is the best anime I have EVER seen!! The songs are also addicting too. I haven't been able to stop them! Like someone side, I think I have them on an eternal loop!!

Been listening to the OST a lot lately. I <3 Madoka's version of Eternal Snow.

It truly was a great series. I am very thankful I found out about this series. Totally by chance, too.

I haven't seen the whole series through but I read the whole manga and it made me cry. The manga is SO much deeper and a bit darker then the anime.

I'm afraid to watch the dub honestly so yea, but I guess if I want to see the ending I should buy the dvds when the episodes I haven't seen come out XD.

Manga and anime were a lot different through out the plotting and the flwoing of the story.
I like anime version although it was a bit long and some fillers episode.

i think the anime ending should have gone in the manga and the manga ending should have gone in the anime... but my love for the story is overwhelming... as a matter of fact, my love for the shinigami is overwhelming... even Jonathan... ^^;

anyway, the dub... is.... well, they can't say "Meroko".... which was to be expected... and the way the pronounce Takuto is a little bit off too.............. i'll just... stop now... it's too bad the DVDs are taking so long to come out... we've only just gotten to episode 20.........

@ kandidasama - it HAD to be 52 episodes long... 1 a week for a year!
....i have no idea if it actually went like that, but it'd be awesome if it did...

Hmm.. I'd yell at them to take it away entirely.. not do it over lol
The only reason i'd buy the dvd is to watch it in japanese with subs.. i wouldn't even watch the dub, it'd just make me mad haha.

I enjoyed the manga ending much better than the anime ending. Its a great series, I also liked Meroko much more in the anime than the manga. Izumi is also portrayed in the anime more evil than he really is.
