If Yuji was removed, yes. They could show Shana in a plot alone, something like Season 1 where Yuji wasn't into training and she fought that Tomogara alone. If Shana was, then they could sho Yuji coming into his own, and finally being able to act as a fighter.
By the looks of next week, that's what I'm expecting. Yuji on his own, with a plot still happening.

Admit that you just want a bitter ending. The story isn't the same without Yuji, the story could turn out either way.

Its your interpretation that the story is about the world, but the fact is the story is about Yuji and Shana, period.

lol, the title is shakugan no shana not the lords of the crimson world. the story is just about a girl and a boy, at least that's what the author said.

Since you just mention the title and what the story is actually about, may I ask what the "Shakugan no" part mean?

shaku - blaze
gan - eye

notice that her eyes and hair turn red when she uses her powers, thus the name enpatsu shakugan ( en - flame patsu - hair)

"The Lords of the Crimson World" sound like a heavy metal band's name

She's just a character drawn on paper, colored in, and animated!
So what if she dies, the only thing that could happen is how Takahashi will be rated.
The whole story, characters, and concepts aren't even real.
So it's not like the creator of the story will care on how we feel.

Note: I don't hate the anime so no one should try and kill me for alleged blasphemy.

Sign me up as well, but instead of burning the house, I'd demand him to somehow continue the story so that she somehow lives again. Actually, I could do both.

This is where the concept of overlooking the obvious is important. What is it called? Selective ignorance? The accepting that this is fiction, and agreeing to overlook it in exchange for a better story.
Honestly, just look at Kanon.
Spoiler for Kanon:

If you like Shana, you go with the positive half, if you're an emo go with the negative path, lol

Shana's tsundere traits are passing on to you. That could be good or bad, but I'll go with bad, especially if you're a guy.

Yes, there is. Even in anime and such, the existence of overanalysation is apparent, did you see Death Note or Code Geass?
Of course, some people think too little all the time to ever think too much about a certain subject, so overanalysation may be incomprehensible to them.

Suspension of disbelief. The audience perfectly knows that the work/play/movie/series isn't real, however they are willing to temporaly suspend that knowledge (and to accept the premises of the show as truth) in exchange of the promise of entertainment . It is because suspension of disbelief exist that literature with any trace of fantasy in it can succeed, and a resource that has existed since the beginnings of humanity (even though it wasn't know as such) so I dunno what you all are discussing about
