Russia's invasion into Ukraine would be legal if: You consider Yanukovich as the legitimate president, and he kinda still is. Under the CIS obligations, Russia is obliged to use its military to restore constitutional order in Ukraine, if Ukraine's legitimate leadership demands it. Russia's invasion into Ukraine would be illegal if: You consider Kiev's new leadership as legitimate, but that's highly questionable, considering they came to power in violation of the constitution and kicked 2 parties out of the parliament.

Maybe. But are there any other choice? Let the Crimean alone, it might trigger a wave of distrust through out Russia's allies, and maybe even inside her, a country that is made up of many autonomous areas.
Who know, maybe next time it would be Lunarian or even Martian. Plus, Anime won't end. Just look at RWBY. |

Or is it just a protect and secure op? An all out invasion in this case is unlike Georgia...at least in 2008 they were clearly in the right. Now it's....quite bad PR for neutral observers...

They have found enough dirt left in Yanukovich's home to make sure he won't get re-elected in any election, and that assumes they don't simply nail him for corruption. Yanukovich is not going to get his power back without being an outright dictator. And if Russia wants him put back in control of Ukraine then they would be installing a dictator. Because if he gets power back there is no way he would allow either fair elections or any kind of protests ever again.

No, not the western allies. The one on the South! - Namely Vietnam.
Oh well, time for the FSB and GRU to get WILD!!! Who is willing to bet there will be some hot weapon showing up in Crimea? Maybe Russia would also like to show some of the "Mother Bear" power. Beside, Yanukovich is just a pawn like dozens of the another. Replaceable. |

And since Putin clear agreed to whatever he requested as the troops have been sent, that means it is already settled. The Russian troops are staying.

2. Russia doesn't really care who's the president of Ukraine, since frankly speaking, they're all idiots When Ukraine left the Soviet Union, economically, militarily and politically it was the strongest post-soviet republic in eastern Europe. It took them only 20 years of independence to turn into a country with the worst standards of living and no economy. That's why some today consider Ukraine more like a "failed project" than an actual nation. 3. Russia's main interests in Ukraine are: stability and economic ties.

https://vk.com/public62043361?w=wall-62043361_105232 Right wing leader Dmitri Yarosh asks Doku Umarov for assistance. Brilliant. Nazi ask help from terrorist - best way to deal with current situation
