It interesting watching the change from skill shouts being common to being rejected as childish. Guess there is a need to distance from what people enjoyed as children. I do think when skill shouts work really depends on circumstance. Sometimes they can sound unnecessary, but other times they feel natural enough that I don't have a problem at all with them.

I dont mind skill shouts but SAO using skill shouts would really be annoying. I think it would be good if they showed the skill the character is using in a box right above their heads kinda like the abyss anime.

not all of us have grown up with action shounen, and a growing number begun watching after finishing school. I still love the concept of anime, as well as cartoon, movies and other shows that I have watched in elementary school. I wrote that calling the name of your attack is childish, because it is a main feature in shows targeting that age, and the audience repeats that senseless behaviour when role-playing with each other. I try to refrain from another characterization, because giving away your attack verbally is the best way for your opponent to defend against it

The Abyss anime never did that. That was just that particular fansub group being retarded and adding unnecessary things into the anime to give it a game feel.

Huh weird i kinda thought it was in the jap version also but thats kinda of a odd thing to do now that i think about it.
@aphrah thats a very nice scan. It does kinda look like they made kiritos hair more darker but it looks better that way.

The OST will not be released until the anime ends, so be patient to wait for it. And it's composed by Yuki Kajiura.

Dream world eh? That's a fitting title considering the virtual world theme of the anime. Thanks for the cm post.

Hopefully the op is good too. OP songs can make or break the excitement going into an episode. Heck, OP's are "all" that I remember animes by sometimes.

Crossing Field by LiSa.... LiSa's done some good songs. Listening to snippets of her discography right now. The songs are "good", but none of these previous works are really striking any chords with me.
