Every month, I swear.

Somewhat off-topic, but seriously, how do you people "find out" about episode counts? My posting it in the discussion threads here doesn't seem to register with people. Some don't read the logs, and others don't believe me even when they do read it. So where could I post it such that "if I saw it there, I'd know it was probably true"?

Hmmm. I do remember those posts, though this is the first time i've seen the information on Wikipedia and ANN, so at least its official. Still, a bit of a shock --- didn't see it coming with this series.

Episode 14 was great. Maria saves the day, and with a pretty nice scene.

And I really liked the new ED.

I figured as much. So the answer is, I just put it on those two user-editable sites, and then people will believe me because now it's "official". Oh the irony... (I'm just giving you a hard time, of course. )

People suspected it would be a long-running series to begin with because of the timeslot. Of course, SynergySP's previous series (MAR) ran for two years. But, expectations aside, it is a Good Thing.

ROFL! Yeah, that'd be the day.

In all seriousness, though (and back on topic ), the R2 DVDs aren't that bad of a deal for those willing to pick them up (considering the price and episode count, compared to your average 13/26-episode show), although I suppose committing to a 13-disc series at R2 prices is always a bit much. I also figure that it's pretty likely this'll get licensed at some point, what with the manga already being released over here and all. But I suppose I'd also like to see what extras will be included; the release is only a few weeks away, but so far there isn't much to the solicitation. I guess we'll see!

I heard of Doraemon before. I just didn't know he was a robot cat from the future.
Too bad theres no subs or raws of it.

Seems like they like putting Doraemon and Sazae references together. They did it in episode 10 too.

Hello, guys. I just started watching Hayate no Gotoku, and I must say that after watching the first episode, I have the deja vu that I'm watching Mahoraba again (must be the characters, I guess).

And I just noticed something:
Nagi = tsundere otaku girl
Hayate = is he a superhuman biker or what?
Maria = can I say.... Mariel?

Anyway, I'm looking forward to follow this series. ^__^ *thumbs up*

EDIT:
Is it just me, or is the series breaking the 4th wall (as I noticed in the middle of episode 2)?

Yes Hayate no Gotoku is the anime that does break the fourth wall, and constantly as well. So expect more of breaking the 4th wall

Oh btw the reason why Hinagiku said maybe Yukiji will get along with the cat robot from the future is...notice the food Yukiji was eating? That's Doraemon's favourite food

Ep 14

Great ep, and it goes without saying that the final scene was the highlight (although Sakuya's statue wasn't too far behind). My respect for Maria has gone up a great deal, though. Other than that, not a great deal to say about this ep, other than HnG is staying on track and continuing to play to the same strengths that has made it so enjoyable... so there's really not much to criticize so far.

Wasn't a fan of the ED though (although the fanservice was easy to appreciate.) I think I like the old ED better.

Frankly even though I just watched it i've forgotten most of the episode except the end which in and of itself gets me to give this episode a perfect 10. *maria fanboyism*

But it is nice to see the poor kid get into school...Can only kick him around for so long before it stops being fun and turns into something pitiful.

Next week it seems like we get to see mobile vandams kick Hayate around. I love next week's title (Samurai, Chivalry, Mobile Vandam)

Episode 14 was pretty cool..Hayate in a white suit is soo cute. XDDD Can you just imagine him wearing that Urusei Yatsura costume? Loved the Hayate/Maria moment and I liked the new ending.

wow, you guys have already reached EP14? I haven't even finished watching the first seven

Is it just me or has Hayate unconsciously become women's magnet? I mean, even the conservative Isumi ( ) falls for him

Anyway, I'm looking for more funny moments in this series (and I think I begin to like Hayate for his attitude )

EDIT:
I didn't know Nagi & Maria are cosplay freaks.

and call me gay, but nekomimi Hayate = UBER KAWAII!!! >_<

yes i believe one of his attractive traits to women is his kind nature and a dilligent attitude towards all things.. This really makes me like him in terms of a male lead and that really makes me flinch everytime such a dilligent male lead gets kicked around..... I mean he just doesn't deserve it.. But u guess they did it like that on purpose.
