As I thought, considering. It'd make sense, because you are quite faithful to the R2REmake. In a way, I aspire towards that kind of faithfulness.
Reading Bonzo's comic makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. Especially during the emotional Kalulu ones It's a wonder how we got on the right boat, stuck with a really talented artist (The boat is called the SS Kalulu.) I'll remove my sycophancy at the moment. |

Broken bird? Dude, there is nothing broken about her. But she does break things. Like Knightmares, she is really good at breaking knightmares
I don't know the saying 'broken bird'. But I have to guess it means she is in need of maintenance. Thats all I really know. Let's see... She is definitely no blue jay, because she is 1) red, and 2) knows how to fly. So.. yeah Serious: In a way, she could be considered one, Since her backstory revolves around the death of her brother, Naoto-kun... She can be considered one, yes. Also, remember about her family troubles. Her mother, and her step-mother being problems as well. I hope that cleared stuff up, ? |

not really
simply having a tragic background is not enough on its own, and kallen simply doesn't fit too emotional and too idealistic for the role a broken bird tends to be far more cynical just look at the way her eyes light up when Lelouch makes her commander of his personal unit, and you'll get my meaning C.C is a pretty good example though but Kallen isn't really it badass with a tragic past ? definitely but not a broken bird

She is at the very beginning though. Remember how she thought of killing Shirley at one moment early on? Meeting Zero, and learning what she is capable of as a member of the Black Knights after the Lake Kawaguchi incident makes her a Defrosting Ice Queen.
ETA: Not to mention of course that before Lelouch serendipitously showed up in episode 1, she was ready to die on the battlefield. |

Oh my. Bladeofdarkness pointed out the logical stuff, again. Saves me from explaining, atleasr.
He pointed out a good deal, and I wouldn't even think of kallen as an 'Ice queen'. She is definitely no Skadi. She is a valkyrie. She is the girl with repressed passion because of her past, she fights a hopeless battle until zero comes along. During the assignment of the Guren and Zero Squad, she was just another member. But when she was pointed out as the elite, she felt purpose and meaning. Like she had expectations to achieve besides avenging Naoto-kun. If anything, Kallen was systemically changed throughout the entire series by Lelouch/Zero |

She still lacked hope, even if it was simply latent. She was going to die with no hope of changing things for the better or honoring her mother or dead brother's memory before Lelouch came along. And I wasn't so much calling her an "Ice Queen" as I was using the trope to describe the process she was going through.
Not to mention that Broken Bird isn't so much a strictly hope or will to fight on shattered trope as it is also an innocence brutally shattered trope. At least IMO. Not to mention that Broken Bird is the distaff counterpart to Troubled But Cute. Last edited by azul120; 2010-02-19 at 13:44. |

In the wait of new comic, I'll update this one, with some art correction and text fixed, this appendix is directly connected with the new one, the event is about 30 minutes before.
Two days are passed from Lelouch's death, Nunnally visit his fake grave together with Cornelia and Kallen, but there's some tension in the air.... http://sabrinaonline.altervista.org/...n25.09enga.jpg http://sabrinaonline.altervista.org/...n25.09engb.jpg The grave must be fixed too. Lelouch is born in 1999. |

Holy shite everyone is hot-blooded today! Even Lost Cause, whom I mistook for quiet and resolving. Oh dear, even me.
Ironic how we all gather on this day to worship Kallen and her brother. Let us bow our head to them, in acknowledging them. I pray: Brave new World. Amen. Religiously speaking of course, I could follow Knightrunner-san's example and give my friends really epic Kallen piccies > |

Quite, here I was expecting him to be similiar to Rohmeyer. Looks like I expected wrong.
I sent the message with my judging opinion By the way, it was quite positive. I can feel for Lelouch him being blind. I have over 200 vision, which is dubbed 'legally blind'. Though it wasn't a real bad trade-off for him, he is intelligent enough to learn braile in no time, and he has the best caretaker. FYI: The kids were cute, Naoto and Shirley~~ Such nice names, hmm? Pfft... Luluko xD |
